The Good and the Bad

Review for Carnival Pride to Panama Canal & Central America

We chose this cruise as going to the Panama Canal was on my bucket list. My great grandfather had actually worked building the original canal and I wanted to experience it for myself. There were 4 of us adults in an extended balcony cabin on deck 7. The cabin itself was fine; plenty of storage for the 4 of us as I have come to expect with a Carnival ship. There were some dents and scratches ...

Better than expected, with only one resolved issue

Was on the Journey’s cruise 14 days from Tampa ending in Baltimore. This is my 8th cruise with Carnival and have been on NCL and RCCL. I have done a 15 day to Hawaii with Carnival so we kind of knew what to expected. Wife and I are late 20’s, early 30’s. I think we only had a handful of people in our age group and almost no kids on this cruise. Most passengers 50+ or even 60+. Having some issues ...

Disappointed after two Great Cruises

Review for Carnival Pride to Caribbean - Western

I have enjoyed two Carnival cruises previously. A three day and 7 day. This one was not that enjoyable. Unlike the others the level of service was lacking. I enjoy being spoiled so this was my disappointment. The things different are the following: 1) Very few or no servers for drinks. Four of us paid for the Cheers package. Since my parents were using scooters, as their mobility was ...

Great get away

Just returned from a short 5 day cruise on the Carnival Pride out of Tampa and am happy to report it was great. We have sailed with Carnival 8 other times but always longer trips. Pride has some of the Carnival 2.0 upgrades which we enjoy like the Blue Igana and Guys Burger Joint but the biggest upgrade on this cruise was the staff! Over a dozen cruises on 3 different lines and we have never ...

Wonderful Cruise With Old Friends From Buffalo On Their First Cruise

Review for Carnival Pride to Bahamas

We chose this cruise because of the convenience of leaving from Tampa (30 minutes from home) and the variety of ports on just a 7 day cruise. To make it even better, we were joined by 2 friends who were EXCITED about their first cruise. Embarcation was less than 30 minutes and a breeze. It was pretty cool and windy up on the Lido deck but going under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge right at sunset ...

Brief Pride from Tampa

This was our 15th cruise, 2nd on Pride, mostly Carnival but also RCL, Celebrity and NCL. Pride is only from Tampa for a few weeks before return to Baltimore so we took advantage of a 7 day to Western Caribbean. Pride is the ideal size for new cruisers and especially now with the impressive 2.0 upgrade apparently costing near $75M. It's about as large a ship that can sail out of Tampa to pass ...

Great cruise--disappointing entertainment

Review for Carnival Pride to Caribbean - Eastern

The shows were VERY disappointing. We are platinum cruisers with Carnival, but haven't cruised with them for about 5 years. The singers voices didn't blend. After attending two shows, we tried the comedy club. Better entertainment, but the room was too small. The comedy was the best night time activity so everyone arrived early and didn't leave--standing room only! The food was actually ...

Favorite Cruise so far.

Picked this cruise mostly due to the sailing dates. Also wanted to see Belize, Honduras and Grand Cayman. Prefer the Eastern Caribbean but enjoyed the Islands and locals. Embarkation and debarkation were easy. While the entertainment was lackluster the crew was the best ever. Our room steward, Randy and dining crew Carlos, Jovan and Ivan were awesome. Would have liked a table nearer a window ...

Bring the Pride home in 2015

Review for Carnival Pride to Caribbean - Eastern

Best cruise I've been on! Fourteen days was perfect for us. The Pride was making its way back to Baltimore and many of the passengers were from Maryland and wanted to travel on her return home. There were only 40 children onboard which made the whole ship adult friendly. We were told the average age of cruisers was 62. The only bad part was there was no late night life aboard, the night club ...

Loved the Pride

Short lines to get checked-in at the Port and on the ship in no time at all. First stop - Guy's Burgers. We ate there often. Best welcome aboard show I've seen with John Heald making an appearance. Jason Apps is a young, energetic CD, who was not intimidated by having the Brand Ambassador on his ship at all. He has a great rapport with the guests - young and old and I would be happy to sail ...
