Cruise was fun, leaves some things to be desired

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Paradise

The cruise was decent. I will say the food selections left a little to be desired. The food seemed like it wasn't as good as the last cruise we went on and the portions were way too small. Also, one pool for an entire ship worth of people is enough to make me not go on this cruise again. There we so many people crammed in the pool it was a bit much to try to find a spot to get in. Rinsing off in ...

Beware the shops

Buyer beware: I bought praying cards and bracelets in the store on board the ship. The prices for BOTH items rang up for more than the sticker price. It was embarrassing to hold up the line while multiple staff members figured out how to fix the charges. In the tobacco shop, I asked how many cartons of cigarettes people were allowed to bring back to the U.S. tax free and was told 8 cartons. ...

Choose as an easy, kid-free, romantic getaway to celebrate a milestone birthday. Embarkation and debarkation at the Port of Tampa is a breeze, although walking directions from the garage to the ship are misleading. Our cabin (deck 4 oceanview) was perfect for 2 people for a 4 night cruise, very clean and cabin attendant was wonderful. Shower curtain is awful as expected. The stateroom fridge was ...

Least entertaining ship I have ever experienced.

My wife and I sailed out of Tampa for our anniversary on May 2, 2022. There is always something going on, on the ship, however, the cruise was rather boring. We are not big partiers. On our past Carnival Cruises, this was never an issue. Carnival Paradise is the smallest of the Carnival fleet. With that being said, this cruise just didn't cater to our personalities. We ended up with a ...

First time cruiser so I don’t have many experiences to compare with it was overall a good time I bought the drink package did not get tipsy one bit… I get off the ship in tampa and go buy a premade, prepackaged small bottle of a margarita and got tipsy right away, something isn’t right there….. makes you wonder what they were mixing with on the ship… i can also say the food is “meh” not great but ...

We selected this cruise last minute. Went with my special needs adult son. Boarding in Tampa was a breeze, we drove and parked in the facility right across from Port. I have to say that all staff members we wonderful and really helped out making my son feel welcomed and comfortable. He is on the autistic spectrum. We went to guest services and check out the sensory back pack. There is a ...

Carnival Paradise Here is my review of the Carnival Paradise 3/26. My wife and I have cruised 36 times over 40 years starting with the Home Line in the 70s. We have seen many changes to cruising many good, many bad. The price we paid for the 5 night cruise was $900.00 which included taxes and tips for 2.. This price was unheard of in the 70s. The costs of reduced price was a definite decline ...

Great excursion but a small ship with limited amenities

This was a great cruise for the price and cruising out of Tampa was a great experience. The ship itself was nice. Nothing fancy but nice. Excursions - since this was just a last minute getaway we didn't book anything but we did enjoy 7 mile beach in Grand Cayman and walked around the port in Cozumel (weather wasn't great!). Room/Room steward - We had an ocean view on deck 5; it was ...

Somewhat disappointing

We chose this cruise because it went to two of our favorite ports: Grand Cayman and Cozumel. This was our third cruise, second time on Carnival. The first Carnival cruise was 5 1/2 years ago, to the Southern Caribbean, out of San Juan (on the Valor), and we really enjoyed it. This cruise on the Paradise was disappointing in comparison. Embarkation was extremely quick and painless. Our ...

This was a fundraiser cruise for a local charity. We had a successful fundraiser and our group of friends enjoyed ourselves. The Good: -Our steward, Made, was wonderful. -Dining room team of Rodolfo and Vilmar and others made every meal a true experience! -Suri, in the Rotterdam bar was the best bartender on board -Guest Services staff were consistently helpful. -Tampa ...
