I will start by saying the staff was nice. But... Our room smelled like sewage and arm pits. The food was disgusting every night. There were no activities. This ship is old and very out dated. We had a family of five. Our king bed was two twin beds unevenly put together. Our children beds were in the wall, it took over 2 hours for someone to come and assist with pulling them out. We are Platinum status with Carnival, so we've sailed with them frequently. This cruise was the worst of any -- Carnival or other cruiselines -- that we've ever been on. The ship was SO CROWDED!! The two hot tubs on Lido deck were always completely full; I counted 17 people in one hot tub!! And the music on the Lido deck was so loud you could feel the vibrations. This ship is in pretty nice shape for its age. I like the design and lay out. I didn’t like the fact they had no movies at the pool area at night. I always loved the nightly movies at the pool on other ships. The food was really good in comparison to the Pride and the Spirit. Staff was really nice. We live locally & wanted something we did not have to travel far to reach the ship. We have cruised with Carnival many times but have not done so since before covid and children. Our cabin was a quiet retreat that fulfilled our need to relax & unwind. We were a bit surprised by the bathroom set-up that did not permit my husband to use the toilet paper roll while in its's holder. (no leg room) ...

So this is my first cruise. Overall it isnt horrible. However, if you want a peaceful cruise this is not it. Unbelievably crowded and people saving lounge chairs for hours. Good luck finding a spot to sit and relax. Also, parents think since they are on a cruise most aren't watching their kids and letting them do whatever. The good: Crew was excellent on this ship. All were friendly and professional. None of what I’m about to say is their fault. The Carnival check in process is much better than it used to be pre-COVID. Myself and boyfriend took our 4 children on the carnival paradise on 10/13/2022-10/17/2022 for their first cruise. When we got on the ship the staff was very welcoming and nice. Day 1 on the ship wasn't bad but the food in the lido dining area was disgusting the only decent thing was pizza pirate.
