Never wowed but never dissapointed
"We are an engaged couple, 29 and 27 years old for reference. We got on the ship very easily, and were told that our room was already all set up and waiting for us, since we were 'guaranteed' sailors on the bottom..."Read More

Great excursion but a small ship with limited amenities

This was a great cruise for the price and cruising out of Tampa was a great experience. The ship itself was nice. Nothing fancy but nice. Excursions - since this was just a last minute getaway we didn't book anything but we did enjoy 7 mile beach in Grand Cayman and walked around the port in Cozumel (weather wasn't great!). Room/Room steward - We had an ocean view on deck 5; it was ...

I went on the Carnival Paradise as part of a large group, so I had no choice in the selection of the ship or cruise line. I had a great time with my total group, and the dance band at night was exceptional! The comedian was awesome, too. But there didn't seem to be as many fun activities during the day as on some other ships. Also, there was no production show on 2 of the 5 nights. When there ...

We chose this cruise because it went to two of our favorite ports: Grand Cayman and Cozumel. This was our third cruise, second time on Carnival. The first Carnival cruise was 5 1/2 years ago, to the Southern Caribbean, out of San Juan (on the Valor), and we really enjoyed it. This cruise on the Paradise was disappointing in comparison. Embarkation was extremely quick and painless. Our ...

This was a fundraiser cruise for a local charity. We had a successful fundraiser and our group of friends enjoyed ourselves. The Good: -Our steward, Made, was wonderful. -Dining room team of Rodolfo and Vilmar and others made every meal a true experience! -Suri, in the Rotterdam bar was the best bartender on board -Guest Services staff were consistently helpful. -Tampa ...

We chose this cruise because the ship was sailing out of Tampa and was going to Havana. We are avid cruisers and have sailed out of Tampa before. This trip provided us with opportunity to visit with family in the Tampa area and to go to Cuba . Embarkation is Tampa is usually better than Port Canaveral and this proved no exception. We also had FTF for the first time. THE GOOD DINING ...

We usually cruise with NCL, but the itinerary during March to Cuba was only available on Carnival ( NCL opened up their itineraries after we booked). The entertainment was OK, the comedian performed for 35 minutes- should have been longer. Breakfast in the dining room was horrible- 2nd day we arrived in the dining room at 9:05 and the food was finally served at 9:55, after I went and asked ...

Enjoyed but wouldn’t cruise this ship again

Carnival Paradise has a mixture of pros and cons that make this an ok cruise; with all the ships at sea, I wouldn’t choose this ship again. First I’ll start with the cons: Shows felt more like a talent show. Average talent, horrible seating, bad sound system. Food in the dining room was terrible. I ate most of my meals at the Pizza Pirate it Guys Burgers which is terribly ...

We chose the short (4 night) cruise as we wanted to depart from Tampa. Last year we did the same itinerary out of New Orleans on the Triumph. We liked the triumph better - but didn’t care for cruising down the a Mississippi. The balcony cabin was small. We knew that a head time. Plenty of storage. But we did not need the Pullman bunk directly overhead of the twin beds. It seems poorly ...

We chose this cruise for two reasons: we wanted to visit Cuba, and the ship was sailing out of Tampa, a short drive from my home. Just for a point of reference, I've previously taken 20 or so cruises on many cruise lines and am not loyal to any particular line. The first hurdle was getting around construction around the port, but we figured it out and got to our terminal around 10:30. We had ...

My husband and I decided to take our teen kids on a cruise for Christmas this year. We chose the Carnival Paradise, mainly because the dates matched up with the school holiday schedule. This was my 3rd time cruising with Carnival and I found I was not to impressed this time around. We had the bed made into a king, which was literally 2 twin beds pushed together. Nothing holding them together, ...
