First of all a transatlantic cruise is the way to go if you love cruising! The Jade was recently refurbished and it is lovely. The entertainment on the ship, especially the Element show was fantastic ! We really enjoyed eating at the specialty restaurants, especially Le BISTRO and La Cucinca. Don't miss the crepes on the Lido deck , they were outstanding. I'm not going to give details of the ship, ...

This was my husband and my first TA cruise and first NCL Cruise. Love this ship and NCL. I will say 6days at sea is a lot. The age demagraphics was quite different than we expected we are in our mid 40s and the average age on this cruise was much older. The Cagney restaurant was very disappointing. They did not have half the steaks on the menu and the steaks they did have had no flavor. The ...

This was one of our choices for choice of cruise to spend our honeymoon and we are very happy that we did. The ship as itself is beautiful and had just been refurbished. The staff work extremely hard to keep the whole ship extremely clean and well kept. Our room steward Alvin kept us not wanting for anything. He was excellent at his job. Could not have asked for more. The food was above average. ...

Tampa to Southampton, eliminating jetlag!

Firstly, we chose this cruise mainly for rest and "landed" in the UK without the dreaded jetlag! We stayed in the Westin, very close to the port pre-cruise and had a complimentary van transfer which took less than 5 minutes...$20 tip shared between hotel bell-boy and driver for this excellent courtesy. The embarkation experience was fabulous...we left the Westin hotel at 10.50am and stepped ...

We spent 4 weeks in the USA and choose the relaxing way to get back home. Upon arrival in Europe, we have done away with the time difference and are ready for the everyday life. This was already the 6th time we came home by cruise after our stay in the US and it was definately not the last time. We like the Jade, came home on it last year also. The crew is great, the layout of the ship is very ...

This was a truly fine ship. I think I would rate it 5 stars due to the wonderful service, the great food and the amazing entertainment. Dayana (one of the customer service reps on board was amazing). The cruise I did was a transatlantic from Tampa to Copenhagen, so I was aboard for 14 nights of bliss in an aft-facing balcony (B1). This balcony was twice the depth of a regular balcony and it ...

Transatlantic and The Norwegian Fjords

This was my 13th and 14th NCL cruise. (Transatlantic from Tampa to Copenhagen and then Copenhagen round-trip through The Norwegian Fjords.) (B2B) I thought the cruise was fantastic in every way. I don't understand some of the whiny and petty reviews I just read as I thought the voyage, ports, service and food were all great. I never once had to wait in line for dinner and even walked-up a few ...

Embarkation was one of the easiest yet. We walked directly in to the terminal, check in, and walked onboard the ship. Head directly to O'Sheehan's for lunch and wait for rooms to open. Once the rooms were opened we had a BA midship, 10602. Overall the room is pretty standard for an NCL balcony pre-Epic. Bathroom could be bigger, couch could be smaller. Night stands on both sides of the ...

Had a great time on this cruise. The ship was only 1/2 full so the service was much better than the usual great service. Only 2 days of rough weather but everything was fine. Food was great, only ate in the dining rooms. We followed this cruise with a 7 day cruise to Norway. We cruise often and really don't care about sitting out by the pool. Had a great time up on deck 13 bar where they ...

Wonderful Two Weeks at Sea

Odd to think that I was on the same ship as some of the other reviewers! My wife and I were very happy with our cabin. Clean, comfortable- and it was an inside cabin to boot. We ate in the Versailles every night and never had to wait since we always made a reservation. The buffet restaurant did look like a cafeteria- that's what it was! But we found the food to be good and varied and the facility ...
