The Paul Gauguin is a smaller cruise ship which enables it to go places where the large vessels can't.
Although it is nearly 40 years old a major refurb in 2021 was done well and has since been maintained so the ship overall, cabins and public areas present very well.
The scenery is spectacular particularly viewed from the pool deck with Pina Colada in hand.
Staff are well trained apart ...
I choose this cruise to celebrate my birthday with friends, in spite of weather conditions, I had the best time ever . Captain was very informative, he kept us updated at all times . The cruise itinerary was modified due to a tropical cyclone . We didn’t get to go to some destinations , at one point ports were closed, We spent most of the times on the ship . The captain and crew went above ...

After going to Hawaii yearly for 10 years for a medical meeting French Polynesia has been on our bucket list for some time. What better time to go than Paul Guaguin’s and our 25th anniversary
Thank you all for your recommendations which undoubtedly added to the value and peace of mind in planning this adventure

We chose this cruise having cruised with Oceania on the Riviera 8 years ago. I have read some of the reviews on the NAUTICA before we traveled and having now completed the cruise I believe that some of the expectations are unfair. The ambience of Oceania is very comfortable and uncrowded and fits within the 5 star+ bracket that is on its own. The lodgings very comfortable being suite forward ...
We selected this voyage for the itinerary, a Covid-delayed celebration of our 25th anniversary. I want to dispute some of the criticism I've read on this site. The food was fantastic even if appetizers were largely the same from night to night. Grand Dining Room experience was equal to specialty restaurants, but both Polo Grill and Tuscana had excellent menus and delightful, hot food that was ...
I never thought I would love a cruise more! I had gone on big cruise ships and hated it! Variety Cruises set the bar so high and I fell in love with the crew, the ship, the islands and the experience. They fill the days on island with culture adventure and true local beauty.
We set sail and arrived to Moorea in the sunset hours to whales breaching and an amazing view. I thought that was going ...

I had French Polynesia on my bucket list for a long time and I wanted to see as many as possible islands on my trip. I started searching on Instagram best Cruise there to see ( and Variety cruises got my attention from what I’ve seen on their IG page) then I looked thru tagged photos that their guests would post and I really loved their Sail boat design! And places where they sail! Overall not ...

Recently, I had the pleasure of experiencing Variety Cruises' Tahiti Cruise aboard the Panorama II, and it was a magical experience. The ship blends elegance and comfort, with a dedicated and friendly crew ensuring a top-tier experience.
We explored the beautiful spots of French Polynesia and it was really incredible. The schedule had a good mix of cultural stuff and enjoying the natural beauty ...

The ship was only at 60% capacity, which made it very comfortable for all onboard. Plenty of space for everyone. Food was great. Would recommend the wine tastings for the at sea days. The shows were very interesting. The excursions that we opted for were all great. The Tastes of Maui was awesome, there were about 7 stops. Food was provided at them all. Not large servings but enough so that you ...
From the very second our taxi dropped us off at the cruise port in Papeete, we were blown away at the services. Friendly greetings, clear and concise directions on how to board and a person at every turn pointing you in right direction.
Champagne greeting with the cruise host and then a little presentation and then to our room and our luggage was already there as well as a fully stocked ...
