Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Diamond Princess

We sailed on the Diamond Princess - one of the medium sized Princess cruise ships. All days at sea were fairly quiet. Bit of a swell but the ship movement was hardly noticeable. Lots of entertainment and things to do on board, apart from stuffing yourself with all the delicacies on offer. There were only to quay side stops and 4 tender stops. As suite passengers we had a priority ticket for ...

This was an excellent cruise. Right from start check in was a breeze. Room very nice and clean and our steward was very polite and always ready to help. We have traditional dining at 5.45pm as we prefer this as it gives us time after dinner to do what we want. Food was very good and the waiters assigned to us were very good. Always happy to bring us something special and a little extra. ...

Mid Size Comparison: Carnival Legend and Royal Caribbean Radiance of the Seas

Just returned from a cruise to New Caledonia & Vanuatu - first time on Carnival. Have been on Radiance twice in 2014. Both are similar sizes so I decided to try to help anyone trying to decide. Would I go on either again - definitely. One caveat - It's been over 12 months since our last RCI cruise, and I am referring to our experiences from then. Both are similar sizes - about 2,000 ...

This was our first Cruise and first time overseas. The staff went above and Beyond to make us all feel welcome. And the staff at the royal Caribbean run a very tight but a great ship. The Food was fantastic and they even catered for the eaters in our family. Our cabins were always clean and tidy. And the actives on board were really great and different actives for all ages. We only did one shore ...

I was very reluctant to go on any cruise, but went out of family obligation. It was surprisingly good. The international crew do a magnificent job, calling you by name whenever they can. There are great shows with music and dancing and lights, comedies, films. The ship is well designed so there is always a huge variety of spaces to experience. The food was excellent - choice of restaurants, lots ...

We arrived at the International Passenger Terminal a bit nervous as reviews we had read advised boarding was a nightmare. Checkin of our luggage took 30 seconds. Then we proceeded to the passenger checkin. All up it took about 45 minutes. It was great and this timeframe did not seem unreasonable to us at all. Firstly we checked out our Stateroom which was an internal one overlooking the ...

Lovely Relaxing Cruise to New Zealand and South Pacific

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

We booked this cruise about 2 weeks before cruising and had a most relaxing time. Embarkation was smooth and we were on the ship within the hour. The weather in Sydney was rather windy and rainy. Fortunately, after 2 days at sea, we had beautiful sunny skies. Overall we found the service by the wait staff in the Main Dining Room to be excellent. Our waiter was Jia Jia from China who was ...

We had an inside stateroom but this was smart and comfortable. Our Cruise took in two locations in New Zealand, two locations in New Caledonia, and a final stop at Mystery Island. This was a five location, fourteen night cruise resulting in a lot of sea time. Therefore it was vital that the ship had a lot to offer in terms of activities and facilities. Overall this challenge was met. The evening ...

There was a glitz in the online system when we booked in at the port so we had to fill in the information manually. The process only took us another 10 minutes so it was not too inconvenient. The ship looks good with a few new bars and restaurants. We loved the Blue Iguana Cantina (my favourite) and Guy's Burgers. Didn't try the Alchemy Bar but will do that next time. It was located on Deck 2, ...
