This ship has an open promenade area, which we like. There were lots of music and other events in this area which were very, very good. The evening shows were generally wonderful, with a few exceptions. The Princess singer and dancers were amazing. Our balcony cabin was just fine. This is our second cruise on the Noordam. This November 2023 is the exact same cruise we did prior to COVID.
The check in at Sydney was excellent. Five stars as they now stagger passengers arrival times and this was a huge improvement over long, slow lines in February 2020.

After having cruised with P&O and Carnival I was expecting better than what was on offer from Royal Caribbean on this cruise.

I have done many cruises with Princess, and the Royal, which is now in Australia for the first time was a big disappointment.
Not the crew, they were great as usual, but the cabin set up - no USB ports at all, two USA powerpoints and one European one.
Everyone has a mobile phone - have to to use the Medallian app - but no where to charge it!

Appalling service, waited 1.5 hrs for every drink and food ordered some were never delivered but charged on app. App medallion did not work. No staff. This is with Princess plus package.
The whole ship was a disgrace.

Today is so different, the speeches remain the same but nothing else.
