South Pacific Islands with changing itinerary

We did a 10 day cruise out of Sydney Australia to the South Pacific. We chose Radiance of the Seas for the departure date and itinerary offered. Unfortunately this itinerary started changing immediately after we booked (prior to Coronavirus) and continued changing right through our cruise. Understandably we were on the ship with week Coronavirus starting making news and quarantining other ships ...

Set sail for Noumea, Isle of Pines and Mystery Island. On the second day a passenger had a medical emergency requiring the ship to divert course to Brisbane. Due to this our itinerary was updated and we would be at sea an extra day and miss out on Mystery Island. The captain did have pretty good communication regarding this, but we were disappointed as we were keen on Mystery Island. The ...

We sailed on RCCL’s Radiance of the Seas for 28 days from January 3 to 31, 2018. This was two 14-day back-to-back cruises that took us from Australia to New Caledonia, Fiji, Tonga, both islands of New Zealand, and back to Australia. First let me say that the ship’s staff and managers worked very hard to please. Airline employees are experts at saying “no,” while RCCL’s employees try very hard ...

Bit boring at night.

We were looking forward to a fun, party type atmosphere like we have had recently on Explorer, Rhapsody and Celebrity Solstice. Those ships had dancing almost every night to a really uptempo band playing great dance music and there was either a party in the public area or the nightclub was pumping. This voyage had a largely young to youngish age group looking to have fun at night but the ...

Could have been nice but ended badly

Old but correct ship partially renovated. Service on board was a little bit to festive or let's say relax even if attendants where nice. No touch of class compare to other ships. We had an excellent room attendant on our 10 th deck. We are not young people even if in good shape and we were travelling with our grand daughter that dreamed on this cruise and overall enjoyed. Stateroom for three ...

My husband had always wanted to visit Australia and the itinerary for this cruise sounded perfect for us. We spent a week in Australia prior to sailing, with the last two days being in Sydney. Overall wonderful trip! The staff on the ship could not have been nicer or more helpful. Their service was outstanding. The entertainment and activities were up to our expectations and one was a real ...

I am a regular cruiser and I have cruised on most ships, I have previously cruised on Rhapsody of the seas, Voyager of the seas, Legends of the seas. I have done 53 cruises to date so I feel that I am not being to picky. The boarding: The boarding process was ok, I found the people at the scanning section were a little rude and did not want to listen to anything I had to say, I felt like ...

Good Things - Senior Cruise, 4th cruise, 2nd on the Radiance (1st was 3 yrs ago). Embarkation & disembarkation well organised & fast. Nice ship, good facilities, love the novelty of outside elevators with great views, and has an attractive centrum which looks great when lit up at night. Good entertainment, restaurant/cafe service good, clean cabin, attentive attendant, interesting ...

What Happened to the Entertainment Package and Lectures on Radiance?

This was our third cruise on the Radiance and we could only say wonderful things about the ship and crew our first two cruises. We were looking forward to the journey from Sydney to Honolulu and all the "things" we had enjoyed on board previously. Our first disappointment was that there was no replaying of any of the shows on board ship this cruise, unlike the past. The only lectures were ...
