We have cruised 25 times - on Oceania, Cunard, Princess, Celebrity and Ncl. This was our first time with RC , only went to be with family for 8days ,3 ports and 5 sea days from Sydney. I don't normally do cruise reviews as they have always been tops. RC is way down on quality ! Firstly, the worst ever dining experience for dinners in the main dining room -Cascades. Our entire table was ...

Selected this cruise due to holiday time available. Have done 20+ cruises previously ( mainly Princess and Celebrity). First and last time on old Royal Caribbean ships. No toiletries in bathrooms No drinks in fridge Luggage would not fit under bed ( a first) Decor nd tired. Ship not well maintained Service levels, especially in main dining room not satisfactory. My time dining ...

Food -- not good at all, the buffet was not open enough hours, making it impossible to go to the early show without having to eat late at night, not enough other included other dining options (the hot dog stand was awful) Service -- our cabin attendant was very good, but most other workers seemed stressed, not really happy Entertainment -- wonderful big shows, although we didn't get the ...

This was a 'performing arts' cruise with a stunning array of talented performers. All performers gave it everything they had and mixed freely with passengers. Unfortunately the joy of experiencing their performances was overshadowed by the need to queue for up to 2 hours for the main theatre to ensure you got a seat, even though you were allocated to that particular show. Passengers were ...

Embarked in Sydney for a 6 day Australia/Tasmania cruise, followed with a back to back 18 day cruise to New Zealand, French Polynesia with disembarkation in Hawaii. The ports of call were wonderful and we enjoyed every one of them. The ship and the way our concerns were met was another story all together. We had booked this cruise the previous year while on the Quantum and had received onboard ...

I'm a returning loyal member with Royal Caribbean cruise liner, bringing with me 12 1st time cruiser. I was very disappointed to find the ship to be dated, the cabins had an old musky smell and the toilet/shower smell. Luckily, thanks to cruise critic I did bring along some room freshners. *** Outrageous Onboard Photographer - On the 1st formal night with my newly cruise goers (16 family ...

Sailed from Sydney 1st Nov 2015 on Radiance of the seas. From the Uk so this was an expensive holiday when the flights were taken into account. We last cruised with RCI in 1998 and were v disappointed that their standards had slipped so far. Good points:- the cabin was spacious, the external window a good size; the public areas welcoming and the atrium impressive; gym well equipped. Large ...

This is a late review as I have been waiting for RCCL to resolve issues but still no satisfaction so thought it was time to help / warn others. It started well with the efficient check in despite having been advised we would be later checking in as the dreaded Noro had been on board and deep clean required. We weren't that late which was probably due to the lack of depth to the deep clean. ...

Radiance of the Seas shabby, not chic, and Norovirus outbreak led to low staff morale.

Having sailed in Nov 2013 on ROS from Sydney to Perth circumnavigating the top of Australia we were excited to sail on her again this time from Sydney to NZ and onwards to Perth. We had loved the ship in 2013 but alas only two years later this ship has become very shabby and not at all well maintained. In 2013 the crew were led by a great Captain and officers who were always visable and even ...

We left Sydney, and had 11 days on the ship, before getting off in Bora Bora. (the cruise continued another 6 days to Hawaii). The weather wasn't good, which couldn't be helped. The food was very good and we made friends with some really nice people. The staff was wonderful, but there wasn't enough to do on the ship. There is a theater which held a couple of hundred, but there are 2500 people ...
