Everything was Exceptionally Good or Great; Much, Much Better Than Anticipated

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Emerald Princess

First, and foremost, I must complement the head waiter that I selected for this cruise, the chef and the kitchen staff. I have a significant number of dietary restrictions and therefore when we decided to take this cruise recognized that I may have to put up with a series of rather bland and uninteresting do at most land-side restaurants. This was definitely not the case. I had meal after meal ...

The staff was wonderful as always and the weather was very good. There were a few days that we had moderate seas (12 ft). I noticed that the food was not quite as good as previous cruises, but still very good (this was our 30th cruise, 21 with PCL). The entertainment was so-so. The singers and dancers were great as always as were a few of the shows, but there were several that were awful. With a ...

This review includes information on both our March 7, 2017, New Caledonia & Vanuatu cruise and on our 4-night pre-cruise stay in Adelaide, Australia. The cruise portion of this trip gave us the opportunity to visit five new ports and dive at several outstanding dive sites. The land portion allowed us to tour three of Australia’s premier wine regions. We combined this cruise with the Emerald ...

This was our 30th Wedding Anniversary and our first without our kids in tow. Leaving our kids and daily world behind we embarked on our journey. We stayed two nights in Sydney at The Grace Hotel which was a lovely hotel, reasonable priced and the location was perfect. We arrived earlier in Sydney as we wanted to do the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb. The weather was perfect for our climb, was ...

I chose this cruise because I had not been to the north of Vanuatu befor. The ship appealed to me due to size and layout. As soon as you board the feeling of being welcome was there. The atmosphere was so warm and inviting. There were no problems boarding or finding our cabin, our luggage almost beat us to the room. We were pleasantly surprised at the cabin size as we had been disappointed with ...

I have just completed back to back cruises on the emerald princess which by far were the best cruises we have done .they were cruise 16 and 17 for us so we are not newbies to cruising and have sampled many different cruise lines and ships.Ithink the thing that pleased us the most about emerald was its layout. The size of the ship is perfect for the amount of passengers without the long lines we ...

Overall, the ship was amazing. The dining was a WOW!! Although the entertainment was average, with only 4 or 5 musicals, the ship still kept our family of 4 busy throughout the whole day. The sporting and fitness facilities on the ship were outstanding, the ship provided us with a number of sports, such as table tennis(ping pong), basketball, soccer, cricket, paddle tennis, mini golf a jogging ...
