"Although staffing is obviously still an issue for the cruise lines, the staff tried so hard to do their best but service in some areas such as bar service was often slow or non-existent.Yes there are some difficulties due to local guides etc not being available post covid but the more people travel I think this will change and the important thing is to just support these communities as best we can...."Read More

1-10 of 12 Sydney (Australia) to the South Pacific Princess Majestic Princess Cruise Reviews
I chose this cruise as I wanted to return to cruising after a long break with health issues and the pandemic. It offered an opportunity to revisit some ports which I hadn't seen for about half a century at a reasonable price. It was a good time to go, as it was outside school holidays, although the time of year meant that in the tropical locations visited there was a strong possibility of ...
We've cruised to the Pacific before and we have cruised with pre-pandemic Princess so this will be both an honest and (hopefully) informed review.
Overall I feel Majestic Princess hits its mark as a premium cruise line. There are some little oddities with the ship, primarily as a result of its designed for China past. I'll deal with those issues first. Yes it would be better with a wake pool; ...
We did a back to back cruise on Majestic Princess from 18th January to 10th February 2024. The first cruise was a 13 night cruise and sailed to Pacific Islands of Vanuatu, Fiji & New Caledonia.
The second cruise sailed to Queensland. Both cruises started and ended in Sydney.
We flew to Sydney from London Heathrow via Singapore with British Airways which was a very pleasant flight. We just ...
We chose this cruise to see Fiji, but bad weather pushed us away from the Fiji islands two days early. Out of three planned days in Fiji, we only were able to see the Suva area and in heavy rain. The cruise made up for it with an extra day at sea and an extra day in New Caledonia.
The ship itself is relatively new, so it looks fresh, but overall, it's appearance is average. I think the ...
Choose this cruise to Fiji, New Caledonia and Vanuatu because I enjoyed the cruise some years ago and have always wanted to go back. First cruise post COVID so was interested to see how cruising had changed.
Unfortunately cruise itinerary was changed multiple times before sailing. Stop in Isle of Pines (one of the nicest Islands) was cancelled due to operational reasons afew months before ...
we decided to try an more elegant n new ship.majestic n that she was beautiful new n elegant the renewal of vows was the best thing we chose to do if you get the chance do it well worth it . the staff n captain put everything together beautiful . just make sure you have friends n family with you for photos. there was good n bad with our cruise like you get on most cruise ships.we done 14 nights n ...
Chose this cruise as part of a move over offer. We had cruised previously on the Majestic Princess in March 2019. Cruise itinerary looked interesting although this time of the year temperatures 30C plus did not encourage us to take up any shore excursions.
Prefer traditional dining but allocated anytime dining due to late booking. Required to make a booking daily to guarantee a table and time ...
We sailed on the majestic princess to New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Fiji from Sydney.
Embarkation was smooth, super quick and easy. Best we have seen yet.
The ship itself is amazing, so so big. Are room wasn’t ready yet but that was alright, we went and purchased our drink packages and headed to lunch in the marketplace, the marketplace was a bit crazy and hard to find a seat for the first ...
Having travel princess before we were hoping to get more of the same
And while the dinning was great and service excellent - service at other time seemed under staffed. Who wants to get a scone or toast then wait 10 minutes for the jam
The highlight of past princess cruise was the entertainment staff - this time the flopped - they just went through the motions and didn’t engage the passenger ...
First cruise on this ship. Internals similar to Sun and Sea Princess but bigger. Takes a while to get from one end to the other, apparently has 3500 passengers in Australia but up to 4500 whilst overseas. This probably explains why ship did not feel busy ( except of course in Princess Theatre-as per usual for Princess Cruises).
Being set up for overseas it had things that Princess once had in ...
