The ship is new and very impressive. Staterooms were bigger that SEA princess and SUN princess. Both my wife and I enjoy keeping fit whilst on board. I was appalled that to use the sauna I would have to pay $199. You can not purchase a day pass to use the sauna or steam room. The Majestic also had fewer fresh water dispenses than SEA and SUN. At breakfast you were not able to serve yourself ...
The Majestic Princess is an amazing ship. The staff and crew were fantastic and provided an outstanding level of service. One of the highlights has to be sailing through the Fiordlands. Absolutely stunning and we enjoyed this mostly from our balcony. There is so much to do on the ship if you choose to or you can simply relax. I would highly recommend the Chef's Table. This is worth every ...
We have cruised with princess for many years. Bigger ships are not always good. Smoother ride, nice amenities BUT.. CROWDS... only one pool area... PACKED. Only one spa.. PACKED. Only ONE ATRIUM.. not even standing room... They pulled things like Wine Stewards from the dining room..so no one has any wine knowledge.. "I think white would go with chicken" Used to be much better service but I ...
This is my 4 th cruise with princess and was excited for this one being there biggest ship but found the layout of the ship difficult to get my head around I had been on the royal princess a couple of years ago and no doubt in my mind the better ship .
I also felt hygeine standards had slipped with often no staff member on guard or sanitiser available just a sink hand washing area and often ...
Princess Cruises are my favourite however this one fell short of my expectations it is far too big with not enough lifts and the entertainment venues were too loud they must be trying out new amplifiers which are simply not needed you simply can't find a place inside to have a quite drink and chat which has been so good in previous cruises you couldn't even talk in several of the specially ...
First tiime we have cruised with Princess. Thought this new ship would be wonderful. And it was - to a point.
The good: ship looks great. Beautifully decorated, shiny, clean and new. Our mini-suite was lovely, if smaller than on other cruises we’ve done with other companies. Bed comfortable. Balcony very small, but adequate. Our stateroom staff were just lovely, friendly, everything always ...
The cruise was very disappointing. The entertainment was directed at the older passengers and nothing really available if under 60.
No theme night, no white wine onboard as the ship is heading to Asia so they used what was onboard.
Outbreak of respiratory condition onboard no extra precautions brought out until the last afternoon when it was too late.
Toilet blocked in cabin x 5 ...
This was a CruiseTour which included a 6 night land tour of Australia which included the Great Barrier Reef. Also included a 2 night stay at Ayers Rock which was a little long compared to what was there to see and the hotel accommodations were pretty rural. But the tour of Sydney prior to boarding the ship was excellent. The New Zealand portion of the cruise was excellent, beautiful scenery ...
It was to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary and was a perfect choice. We were married in NZ so it felt right cruising back on the fabulous Majestic Princess. We weren’t disappointed, the food, service and entertainment was first class, just loved it. At night we dined in the Allegro dining room and it was the highlight of our day, the food and waiter service. We then went to the show of ...
Wanted to see New Zealand. Cruise tours were limited. No real wine tours if that is what you are interested in. Loved the Fjords. Cities were interesting . Missed a port due to fog-Port Chalmers. NZ is a beautiful if hilly country. Weather was exceptionally good except for one day of fog. Tasmania was a pleasant surprise with a visit to a animal rescue sanctuary. Able to get up close and personal ...
