High Expectations

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Majestic Princess

Our expectations had been set to expect a high quality cruise experience. Unfortunately reality didn’t measure up. My husband and I travelled with our 17 year old daughter. This was our first experience with Princess having previously cruised with Royal Caribbean and P&O. We felt that the quality of the food was t great, whilst they use high quality produce we didn’t enjoy many dishes served to ...

5 night cruise

5 night cruise from Sydney to Tasmania and back. We had been on a Royal class ship before so knew what to expect with the Majestic. Overall it's a pretty ship and liked that they enclosed the forward Hollywood pool area on the majestic. We are in our 40's and we felt really, really young on this cruise. Not that we mind what age other passengers are, more that we noticed we just didn't seem to ...

Never long enough

I love princess as a cruise line. I have completed over 30 cruises in my lifetime so far. I have tried multiple cruise ship companies and Princess is on of my favourites. They seem to get the balance of Classy, fun and relaxing correct every time. This one was a short 5days to Tasmania. This is definitely not long enough. It would be great to see a longer cruise itinerary for this location ...

Regretful

Food was great. Our steward could not do enough for us! All wait staff were very friendly and polite. Our disembarkation was smooth and they allowed me to go on via disabled access with my walker, but only after I asked. Sadly Princess aren’t well prepared for people with Disability. Nor do they value their smoking passengers. All areas were particularly cold and this could have been ...

BORING FLOATING NURSING HOME

Yes the ship is new and big but that does'nt make a ship good it had the most boring entertainment like two people playing violins no rock and roll it just was'nt a upbeat and a happy atmosphere compared to other ships ive been on. It also was crowded and very hard to get a seat most times. Toilet blocked about 3 times in our cabin and also some were out of order around the ship. Cabin was small ...

Accident on the Majestic Princess

Great ship and cruise but had a problem in the Princess theater. When my partner sat down the seat completely came out of its moorings and both he and the seat landed hard on the floor, causing an injury to him. No one on the ship can handle serious complaints, as we couldn't dance anymore, which ruined our trip. I'm waiting for Princess Customer service to call me back. Other than that, it's ...

Not sure if this is suited to warm climate or scenic cruising.

We chose this for a weekend away with adult kids. These dates and prices worked out at the time for us. This was our first Princess experience. For reference, we have sailed on Carnival Spirit, RC Voyager OTS, and Pacific Explorer. We had four adults in a mini-suite. The lounge became a narrow single bed, with a pullman being the fourth berth. Shower over bath. Narrow balcony. No complaints ...

I was never keen on cruising but reluctantly I relented to my wife’s pleading so we chose the Majestic Princess as our first cruise and we chose a sampler cruise out of Sydney and boy am I glad we did. We left the harbour at around 6.30pm and it look spectacular. Everyone was on deck to watch Sydney Harbour in all its glory. This ship provided everything to keep us interested from movies to shows ...

Great 3 night cruise, good entertainment and activities on board. Trivia, Bingo, game shows and dance classes. Lovely modern ship with some nice decor. Stayed in a Comfortable balcony room. Leaving from Sydney the ship operates in $AU which helps. Long lines for breakfast and lunch in the main dining room which was annoying, good menu and food was nice. Brought the enclave package ...

Just got back from a three night cruise with a group of friends to celebrate one of our friends significant birthdays. Had never been on a cruise ship before and thought the overall experience was fantastic. The ship is still very new, having been built in 2017. Our cabin was excellent and we spent so much time sitting on the balcony watching the sea pass by. The modern cruise ships are so stable, ...
