This was our 3rd cruise and second with Oceania. Our first cruise was to French Polynesia on Regatta and was cut short due to the Covid outbreak. Despite this setback, we were very impressed and pleased with everything, especially the food and based on this experience, booked our most recent cruise with Oceania again. Back to Azamaea after a few years gap. We were concerned by the reviews on CC for the Journey before we boarded. Totally unfounded, how people could write such untruths is not fair.

Im keen to try all the great cruise lines if possible and this Cunard ship was sailing out of Australia and returning to the same port at a time that suited our needs so seemed like the perfect choice for a nice holiday break. I had never been on a curnard cruise before and have been put off by rumours that they are quite formal cruises. However I booked the cruise just a couple of days out before embarktation at a ridiculous price. So let's on the cruise

The good
Beautiful ship, lovely decor. Uncrowded, always places to sit. Wonderful library. Spotless cabin, plenty of storage, tea and coffee facilities and wonderful beds/pillows. Food was very good on the main dining room, in the pub, and reasonable in the buffet.
Shows, OK but not up to standard of other ships. Embarktion and disembarkation quick and organised.

Good 2 days in Sydney before embarking. Excellent ports of call. Butler and room staff were perfect! Captain and staff were friendly, professional, informative, and reassuring.
