All staff were very friendly.
What is not good? Almost zero outdoor, pool deck activity! Only once every two weeks some food or live music on the pool deck. No music anywhere when the show is on. Some harbors bad stops such as in Java. Excursion some ok, some just hours of bus drives. Worst: Horrible wifi! If you are not retired and need to work some online: Do not use Regent! We are in our early 60's and fit and healthy. The Cunard line represented to us elegance, fine dining and an association with the Grand Queens of the Sea.
Though there were some good points to the ship including the Common Areas, the Afternoon Tea, Library and some entertainment, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired.

Our trip of a life time - circumnavigating Australia.
1.Advertised as best gourmet dining at sea - not so! Boring watery vegetables, mashed potatoes like soup, tough lobster and meat etc etc

Summary:
A most disappointing cruise with Oceania. With essentially 3 missed tender ports, 3 evacuations for medical reasons, mechanical issues with the PA system that forced 1 missed port and one delayed port, What was to be a moderately port intensive cruise became a transatlantic cruise with a couple of stops in Australia and Indonesia.

This is not a luxury ship. Old with mildew present onboard. Ship should be retired. It is like a nursing home with poor entertainment and very little activities especially on sea days. We missed 4 ports because of 3 emergency medical evacuations. Service is efficient and food is good but not great. We are Elite class Celebrity and will never go on another Oceania cruise. Queen Elizabeth offers beautiful surroundings, great cruise destinations, good value, an outstanding lecture component, stunning public spaces and a feeling of elegance and comfort throughout, but in my opinion fails when it comes to hospitality.

We boarded QE In Sydney for a trip of a lifetime visiting mostly Japan on a leg of their World Voyage with some trepidation after a bad experience on QM2 last year. The ship was cold 18-19 degrees - staff didn't respond until the last few days of cruise and then temperature rose to other extreme 28 degrees. Passengers all developed illness whilst on board.
