We picked this cruise to see New Zealand, This compete fast began on a sour note with the ship being 6 hours into the cruise and a death occurred on board, the boat returned to Sydney to remove the dead person. We set back out for New Zealand but the Capt said its a bit of a rough sea so will will cut our speed (10 knots). we were then told because of the time lost we wont be going to ...

Went on this cruise for my late honeymoon with my wife. Service and staff was generally amazing, the team keeping the ship clean and serving the food in the Brittania restaurant were top notch. Afternoon tea was wonderful we went almost every day, and the gala nights were really nice. It's wonderful to still have cruise lines that keep things classy. The food that we got was great and tasted ...

This was our honeymoon cruise. Neither of us had been to Australia or New Zealand and we thought this would be a great opportunity to see that side of the world. FOOD: - We loved love loved Onda. The food was superb and the service was just top notch. Cagneys was good but the service was just so so. Le Bistro was not worth it! It was very hot inside, the service was lacking and the food was ...

COVID UPTDATE: a friend traveling with us got Covid, Her symptoms appeared the 2nd day of the cruise, so she got in Ohio before got on cruise (3-5 day incubation period). Medical staff saw and put on meds to prevent needing hospitalization later, She has multiple risk factors to have a bad outcome if not on meds for Covid. She was put on 3 day isolation and 2 more days to mask then do ...

Wonderful time down under on Crystal Symphony

This was our second Crystal Symphony cruise since the re-start, and both sailings lived up to our very high expectations. We found the food to be generally excellent, with Umi Uma and Tastes being stand-outs for us. Waterside, Marketplace and Trident Grill were very good also. Our suite was more than comfortable and had everything we needed (JCP). Service throughout the ship was outstanding. ...

I chose this cruise to celebrate my birthday with my two daughters and four grandchildren. I wanted to do the 4 day cruise but could not justify the 20,000 dollars so chose the two day one. By the time you have converted the dollars to USA and paid travel insurance and the gratuities the cost adds up even for two days. The cruise itself was a lot crammed into a short amount of time. Long queues ...

Children in adult areas a pain

I write this from the Rolling Stone Lounge on MS Noordam. A lovely time overall, the band is awesome!!!! but children under 10 running wild at 10:15pm in the rolling stone lounge with inadequate parental supervision is not my my idea of a good time. Precocious children spoil the fun for adults who just want to have a good time from an adult perspective. A few drinks and a bit of a dance is ...

I'm not normally someone to complain and I generally try to approach things with empathy but I was so disappointed by this cruise. First of all, we booked my parents (aged 65-70) an accessibility room which was not at all accessible. The cruise line refused any type of compensation even though one of the staff suggested they fight for it. At 6'5 My father couldn't even fit on the bed and my ...

I always tell people to take reviews with a grain of salt - some people are just complainers ... and some see everything with rose-colored glasses. But when the same complaints come up again and again, do not ignore the warnings. The negative comments regarding this ship - are accurate. 1. Noordam is OLD, tired, and worn out. It deserves a major overhaul. Not only is the furniture, art, ...

A friend at work recommended a cruise, in a moment of madness we booked through luxury escapes for 10 nights leaving Sydney for New Caledonia and Vanuatu. The ship is tired and showing its age, tattoos looked compulsory, probably with their room number so when they are inebriated they can find their way back. There is nothing interesting to do unless you enjoy drinking, belly flop competitions or ...
