We chose this cruise because of the destinations and to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We had an amazing time! The ports of call were incredible. We love cruising and enjoyed 23 nights on this Transpacific cruise. The ship size is perfect....love the Promenade. Good food, excellent service, lots of activities and our Cruise Director Graham was great!! Embarkation and Disembarkation went ...
Dream vacation after doing the first leg in 2008. Menus didn't change much in 39 days in the Main Dining Room. Fish was disappointing, bland and mushy. Steaks were poor quality on the Sydney to Honolulu leg , so never tried them again. Specialty dining was excellent in Chops and Sabatini's, but over cooked in Samba. Really enjoyed the Mystery Diner Theater although it was the same scenario as ...
This is a great cruise if you like sea days. It was 24 nights and it crossed the date line and the equator. Suva to Hawaii 7 nights cruising and Hawaii to Seattle 6 nights cruising. Also going east the ship looses time so as to match the destination time. We loose 1 hour every few days and 1 Day when you cross the date line. Better going the other way.
The crew were fantastic at all times ...
The embarkation got us off to a rough start. As Diamond Plus, we were seated in an "exclusive" area and started boarding right after the suites and pinnacles. We soon ground to a halt in the cattle chutes for Australian immigration, with a shore team person directing each next-in-line to the next available immigration officer. The next thing we knew, our line stopped completely while an express ...
We had never been to Australia or the South Pacific. We were sailing on a repositioning cruise on the Emerald in 2015 when Princess had a promotion of a free room upgrade (within class), free specialty dining, and free gratuities. The free gratuities on a 29-day cruise was the deal clincher.
This was our 10th cruise on the Emerald but our first in an interior cabin. We found the onboard ...
We chose Holland America as they are our favourite cruise line. Having an aft suite our embarkation was smooth without any wait although this actual cruise had commenced in NZ and there were already guests on board. The cabin was great with no complaints. Dining always good on HAL with good choices in all areas. Service good and all our excursions were booked through cruise line. A few of our ...
This review will not be lengthy but more to the point.Having completed our Sydney to Vancouver crossing from 8th April to 30th April ;I feel appropriate to comment on this ship
Firstly the Noordam is a beautiful ship and we could not see any signs of wear and tear and the ship was meticulously maintained in all aspects.Perhaps a couple of carpet sections worn that's about all; but who ...
We had already been on the Volendam with HAL and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and this cruise was visiting the South Pacific and Hawaii.
We were on board 16 nights Sydney to Honolulu we felt this was long enough for us and it was.
The entertainment was far better than on the Volendam we enjoy the evening entertainment in the Vista Lounge and the guest speakers in the day were all very ...
The cruise was great being the first time RCCL has a trip that is of this length. The cruise director was Graham and he was fantastic and so was the rest of his team including Andre. The feature dancer couple (Eva & Uros) were fabulous and the free dance lessons were well worth it!
The entertainment shows on the ship were mainly geared towards the senior people - majority of the cruisers were ...
Hubby and I embarked on this cruise from sydney - we live here so it easy for us. The embarkation process was a little long with the ques - it took us roughly an hour and half to get through it all and then onboard the ship. We have done previous cruises and it was roughly similar times and processes, considering they have to get 4000 people onboard it wasnt too bad. They did provide some ...
