We & 2 other couples arrived by car in Fort Lauderdale and opted to park in the provided garages. We could have saved money parking off-site but then would have had to handle luggage on shuttles and were glad when we returned as luggage was even heavier. First, let me say, we were not able to pick our own cabins and were only guaranteed a room. NEVER AGAIN! Only outsides left were obstructed view ...
Embarkation was a breeze. We got there around 1:00 pm and walked right in and onboard. It was a thousand times better that the mexican cruise out of SF where we stood in the freezing cold for an hour.
The Itinerary was why we selected this cruise. We wanted to see St. Lucia and Martinique. Turns out that this was the worst part of the cruise. We normally like to get a cab and go where we want ...

Having read a number of reviews on Cruise critic and other web sites about this ship I was somewhat apprehensive about this cruise. Plus we have previously sailed on the Sea and Caribbean Princess ships and have therefore been fortunate to experience some of the recent enhancements Princess has made to their newer and refurbished ships. However as soon as we boarded those apprehensive thoughts ...
Only just got time to add my own review to the long list here. Hope this is helpful to members and also to Princess Cruises (who would do well to read and digest these reviews and act on them). We were on the 7-Night Southern Caribbean Cruise.
EMBARKATION: Always the most dreaded part of any cruise, since you fear waiting a long time and getting thoroughly irritated. To my surprise, Princess ...

Hi Folks,
This was our first time on the Sun Princess having done the Sea Princess last year which did not go well I was looking forward to the Sun. However this was the first time that we had not booked a package from Princess, due to there being no flights. As such we used a TA to book hotels and flights. Never again to turn up at the airport fly get met by a Princess rep, bus cruise ship and ...

We flew to Fort Lauderdale 4 days prior to our cruise so we could relax and get totally de-stressed and get ourselves a little tanned before we sailed. Our flight from Vancouver left at 11 p.m. (a red eye) and we got into Toronto at 6 a.m. the next morning. Had about a 3 hour wait for our connecting flight to Fort Lauderdale.
Arrived about 3pm and it was very muggy ...
This was our third cruise. The first was with HAL and the second was NCL. Overall, the ship, the staff, the ports and the entertainment were very good. The food was surprisingly mediocre and repetitive. As we rank food as one of the reasons for cruising, we won't be cruising with Princess again.
We arrived in Ft. Lauderdale the day prior and stayed at the Sleep Inn. It's nothing fancy, but with ...
