Our cabin was small yet comfortable and clean. The large flat screen television was excellent, however the live view options were poor. Movie choices were plenty and excellent. Balcony was rather small, and two adults cannot lounge within this space, however as the weather was very hot and humid, time spent on our balcony was very limited. Read entire member review >>
The balcony stateroom (Deck 11, A443), was clean and comfortable and provided everything we required for an enjoyable cruise. It was located mid ship and was a short distance from the forward elevators and the laundry.
The stateroom was located below the pool area and we could hear some noise from the deck above but not enough to cause any issues. Read entire member review >>
We had a balcony cabin and near the stern, so no movement if any. close to lifts and stairs to get out and about. Very clean, and the ed amazing. even my husband slept without snoring, and does he usually snore. Read entire member review >>
Our Cabin was comfortable and clean, however we found it very small by other balcony comparisons we had experienced in the past. The New beds are comfortable, however I do prefer the beds on the Holland America ships. The bathroom and closet areas are very cramped, and the airconditioning unit never seemed to provide any cool air throughout the entire holiday. Thankfully we had a Balcony, which allowed us to open the door, and let in the ocean breeze each afternoon and evening as required. Read entire member review >>
The Cabin was good, being mid ships did help is rough weather to keep any movement to a min. AIRCONDITIONING didn't seem to be adjustable, we used our own extra blanket when resting during the day but was fine at night.
Mattress was comfortable, Good selection of new release movies. Read entire member review >>
On deck 10, there was no problem with the size of the room; we had twin beds with a balcony. The bathroom was a reasonable size. There was also a flat screen TV in the stateroom which had a fantastic range of free movies that you could watch anytime. Read entire member review >>
Smallest balcony cabin we have ever been in but the room overall was comfortable. Balcony was only big enough for 2 chairs, no foot rest. Bathroom was so small that I felt as if we could have taken a shower, washed hands, and used the toilet without taking more than 1 step. The closet was good-sized with lots of hangers and plenty of shelves and drawers. The closet included bathrobes without our having to ask.The room was quiet, with no noise from the staterooms above or below or from either side. I was concerned that the cabin external door from the interior room across the hall would be bothersome but we never heard it close. The cabin was somewhat mid-ship on the port side, which made it a good place from which to watch the port entertainment. Being mid-ship, we did not experience much rocking except for the first sea day between Yokohama and Aomori. Read entire member review >>
Cabin A502 is directly across from the swimming pool machinery. On the 2nd day of the cruise we could hear continual banging coming the machinery room. Despite repeated reporting of the problem, nothing was done until day 16 of the cruise. This noise started at 5.30am EVERY morning, and continued all day until 11pm EVERY night.I also found that the noise from the putting out and putting away of the deck chairs on Deck 12, (early morning & late at night) was pretty annoying. Cabin was C226 veranda. Bathroom, balcony too small. Only 1 chair no room to entertain. Bed far too hard. Air conditioning didn't work at first then was far too cold when fixed. Read entire member review >>
Room was small for 2 adults and a child. Would not have like to have had 4 adults or even 3 adults in there. Balcony was really too small to be of much use for more than 2 at a time. Having said that, it was really good to be able to open up the room to get some fresh air in. Before we left, we had thought that the balcony would be good for Milford Sound, but we had to move to the front deck to properly take in the view. The balcony was better suited to entering and leaving port. Read entire member review >>
Closet big enough for both of us and I took a lot of clothing.
Plenty 30 plus coat hangers. Perfect size balcony. Quiet and positioned halfway between lifts. Bathroom cosy but big enough. Read entire member review >>
Small cabin, decent storage space, very small bathroom, quiet location, small but usable balcony, great location just one deck below pool but more cabins above so noise from scraping chairs etc Read entire member review >>
We had a balcony cabin A311 on the Starboard side, more to the front of the ship, which the swells can be felt a bit more, but we weren't seasick. I had the travel bands and took medication to safeguard this. Read entire member review >>
