Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Voyager of the Seas

Originally planned this cruise for a 2020 sailing, finally happened in 2022. Not disapointed at all. Ship was 1400 guests which was 40% full. Never had to wait for really anything. Were on board in stockholm bu 10:30, the stress of pre cruise testing is real, but we made it. This was our first European cruise, very port intensive. The crew all wore masks and cleaned constantly, but were all ...

Honeymoon cruise was awesome!

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

First Time Cruiser • Age 40s

Overview: We wanted to go to Europe and experience multiple countries, so our trip seemed like a great idea! We were supposed to visit 9 countries, but the stop in Russia was cancelled for obvious reasons. Neither of us had any significant cruising experience, so we didn't really have any expectations. We were there for fun, relaxation, and adventure! Food: In general, the 'basic' food was ...

Introduction: We are a married couple of retirement age, still working, who have previously cruised with Oceania, Holland America, Royal Caribbean and NCL. We are Gold Latitude on NCL. We generally prefer to eat at the specialty restaurants. With the exceptions of Arctica and Antarctica, we have traveled on all continents. Staff: The staff in all capacities were friendly and ...

Thoroughly enjoyed this Viking ocean cruise. Enjoyed all the beautiful ports though cool, cloudy and sometimes raining!! Though was 80* in Berlin the day we were there-thought it was such a long day-with 4 hour train ride there and back. Can’t say Ihave a favorite port because they were all unique and beautiful. The cruise path was well thought out and length of time for the whole cruise was just ...

Viking ocean cruises are outstanding

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Viking Star

This ship, the level of comfort and individualized service, were incredible. Clean, elegant areas on the ship. Interesting tours and sightseeing events. Viking is known for really taking care of their passengers. My favorite destination on this trip was going to Norway and seeing the fjords. Although we would like to experience the entertainment, most shows started too late for us. However, the ...

Originally, we choose the cruise to visit Moscow, St Petersburg and Tallin but decided to go ahead with the revised itinerary to Berlin and Gdańsk. Arrival at the airport (Stockholm) was handled very well. We were met at the airport and our suitcases had already been collected. We were escorted to our private transfer and provided with towels and water. Embarkation through security and ...

Amazing Food

I chose this cruise because of the St. Petersburg stop, which, of course, was cancelled because of the war in Ukraine. I had booked this cruise on Crystal for 2020. It was postponed to 2021 and then 2022. Crystal went bankrupt in January 2022. Having been on Viking on the Yangtze River Cruise, we thought we would try Viking on the same itinerary. This time we were on a Viking vessel (as opposed to ...

"Russia & The Baltic Sea" becomes "Scenic Scandinavia"

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Star

We had this cruise booked from back in mid 2020 to celebrate my wife's retirement in 2022. When we were advised of the itinerary change due to the war in Ukraine we had a long discussion regarding whether we still took the cruise or rebooked - our reason for booking was St Petersburg as neither of us had visited Russia. We made the decision to go ahead with the revised "Scenic Scandinavia" ...

Bitterly disappointed

We chose this cruise because it fitted in with the dates of our round the world itinerary and it was an opportunity to visit ports we've never been to before. We were a little surprised that this company charges approximately 1/3 more than previous cruises we've taken in similar categories but, we were constantly assured by all the advertising before travelling, that it was "the finest cuisine ...

Very disappointing!

We choose Oceania because it was supposed to be an above average cruise line. Last year we had taken a Celebrity cruise and were disappointed, so decided to spend more money for higher quality. We were traveling with my sister and her husband. We were allowed to sign up for the "Speciality" restaurants 2 weeks before departure. The only times available were after 8:30, so the only restaurant ...
