Enjoyable and good value

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

This was a special birthday cruise chosen because of three days in St Petersburg, on a small ship similar to the Navigator we had cruised on 10 years previously. We booked an overnight stay in Stockholm and would have liked more time there as its a pretty city with lots to do. It's was 6pm by the time we got out of the hotel. We were transported to the hotel and to the airport and embarked ...

First timers on Regent - An honest review

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

Having experienced many other cruise lines in the past (Celebrity, RCI, Norwegian, Princess, Azamara), a good offer came up and we jumped at the chance of trying Regent, never having thought we would be able to afford or justify the prices normally asked. In general, it was a fantastic cruise that lived up to expectations, but like all things, it wasn't 100% perfect and I shall list the good ...

Regent Still Delivers

This was our 3rd Regent Seven Seas cruise, our last was 15 years ago and we were concerned because we had heard the cruise line had declined in recent years. Our concerns were unfounded. This was also our travel companions first tour and they were beyond delighted and left wondering why they had waited until their mid-70s to hit the seas. We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise and felt the food ...

Unexpected Disappointment From a Reasonable Couple

We have taken over 35 cruises during our marriage. Certainly some have been better than others but we have never been disappointed in a cruise until this one. We have so many friends that will only travel on Regent and endlessly have told us that until we have gone on a Regent cruise we really have not experienced what great cruising is all about. Admittedly, it was with that kind of build up that ...

Lack of decent wines

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

Regent claim six star all inclusive of premium wines. Ran out of French rose on third day. No NZ wines at all! We did two back to back cruises and despite re-stocking in Copenhagen they ran out of Sancerre and Pouilly Fuisse 13 days into a 20 day cruise. In the end we bought ourselves some wine in Kristiansund. If we could find a decent supplier why couldn't they? This was our sixth cruise (140 ...

Great Ship and Wonderful Ports

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

I have long wanted to visit St Petersburg and revisit some of the old Baltic ports I visited 10-20 years ago on business and see more of them at leisure. This cruise was perfect, with 2 overnights in St Petersburg so that you can get to as many of the wonderful sites there as possible and stops in the Baltic republics, Finland, old East Germany and Denmark as well as an overnight in ...

Background - This was my wife's first cruise and my first cruise since family trips as a child on Carnival. We’re both experienced travelers in our 30’s. We were traveling with my parents and two of their closest friends (all in their 60’s). We selected this port-intensive (9 of 10 days in port) itinerary because of the three day/two night stay in St Petersburg and because of my parents’ ...

A very warm Baltic

We booked this cruise (our 4th with Regent) about 7 weeks out on a H suite guarantee basis having seen a good deal. The following week the price was hiked up by more than double!! All the included BA flights had gone so instead of paying a supplement we accepted the SAS flight half an hour earlier at 07.15 from Heathrow. We checked in on line and printed our luggage labels in the machine in T3 but ...

Totally over rated

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seven Seas Voyager

I am not a cruiser, but I was horribly disappointed with Seven Seas Voyager Baltic Crusie 14/7/2014. I knew we were in for a stormy ride when the sommelier stated "presecco is just like champagne but only from Italy." When champagne finally arrived from three decks below and 30 minutes later the young man presented the bottle and stated it was from "Brut, France." Things went down hill from there. ...
