Ship: The Ship's crew were very polite and professional. The ship overall was very well maintained and a pleasure to be aboard, no sales pitches or unexpected charges as we have had on other cruise lines. Cabin: Very nice, always cleaned and ready for our return, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, made it hard leave for those morning excursion. Food: So many opportunities to eat ...

A Thoroughly Interesting, Enjoyable but Tiring Cruise with a Top Class Crew

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Azamara Journey

We chose this cruise line because we had sailed with it the year before and had enjoyed it so much. We like the smaller size ship with fewer passengers thereby giving it a more intimate feel. Also gratuities and complimentary drinks are included so your know where you are so to speak when you commence the cruise. However, the standard of the complimentary wine list for 2016 was not as good ...

This was our second trip with Azamara; we were on the Journey last year. We are 2 Senior women who travel together quite a bit. We like the size of the ship. The renovations done were very nice. On both of our Azamara cruises embarkation and disembarkation ran smoothly. We stayed in a hotel in Stockholm for 4 nights before getting on the ship. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The cabin ...

We did not have any previous experience traveling in this region. We found the trip very educational and the area was beautiful. The Viking Star was great. The food was wonderful and the lectures and other programs during the cruise really added to the total experience. The only negative thing was stopping in so many ports the stay in several ports like Stockholm, Helsinki etc was too short and it ...

Viking Homelands -Baltic Sea

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Star

Viking's first ocean liner brings there excellent service to a larger ship (930 passengers). The ship is well designed, accessible and comfortably appointed. Cabin was excellent. Dining was superb. While three "destination" restaurants are included at no charge, we found that the "World Cafe" open seating cafteria syle ideal for us. The menu served was the same as that in the "The ...

My husband and I booked this cruise at the invitation of friends with whom we had taken a Viking River Cruise. We were excited about going because the River Cruise had been such a stellar experience -- perfect from beginning to end. The pre-cruise organization was not up to our earlier experience though. For example, we were traveling with two other couples, one from a city not far from us ...

Viking clearly got it right when they designed the layout and amenities of this ship. The cruise director did a great job of using the different areas of the ship for entertaining. Every seating area on the ship seems special...inviting, comfortable. Ship personnel were very pleasant and helpful...great attitudes exhibited by all. Food was generally very good but was not a fan of the Chef's ...

Our sixth cruise, first on Viking. First Baltic cruise. The Viking Star was the most beautiful and comfortable ship we have ever sailed. The service and attitude of the staff and employees were the highest level we have encountered. This was all consistent, as I did not have a single employee ever fail to greet me, smile, and be cheerful. This was at all hours, anywhere on the ship, whether the ...

We have done river cruising with Viking for many years so we're eager to see how they did Ocean cruising. Overall we were very happy! Since we were on the earlier cruises there were still teething problems but I feel sure these will have been sorted by now. The tour booking was a bit chaotic and often required too long a wait for an agent to assist but otherwise it was great . The food was ...
