Great Itinerary!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Star Breeze

We were part of a Tauck group that began with a 2 night stay in Lisbon and ended with a 2 night stay in Barcelona. This was our first Windstar cruise, but we've been on quite a few other cruises. Our cabin was the largest cabin we've ever stayed in! It's was great: had a doorbell, a walk-in closet, a full bathtub, and double sinks in the bathroom! Yes, it was older, but it was very ...

A very pleasant cruise

This was our first Windstar Cruise. It was a very pleasant cruise, but not extraordinary - although perhaps our expectations were too high. There were many pluses. The cabin was fabulous. The ship itself looked a bit tired, but very clean and spacious, and the lounge and bar areas were very comfortable and never felt crowded. The food was delicious, with different options for lunch and dinner each ...

Not for Solo Travellers

My favoured ship (Swan Hellenic's 'Minerva') stopped operating late last year, so I was looking for something to replace it. I tried to get on a Tauck tour cruise which unfortunately was fully booked, but then decided to book directly with Windstar for the same itinerary. Whilst the ship is great and has facilities of a larger vessel, unlike Minerva they simply do not cater for solo ...

Good value for the money

Review for a Italy Cruise on Star Breeze

This was our fifth Windstar Cruise, but the first on the Sea Breeze. Overall it was very good value for the money. Some observations : 1. The logistics at the Port of Civitavecchia (Rome) necessitated two(2) coach transfers - no easy task when you are 80 years old, the temperature is in the low 30C's, and you have handle your own luggage....................However, both embarkation and ...

Great Potential, but Growing Pains

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Star Breeze

With much anticipation and a positive attitude we boarded the Star Breeze recently. We love the tall ships but thought we would give the Star Breeze a try. Our last cruise was on a bigger Seabourn. The Star Breeze is lovely in many ways but I think Windstar needs to rethink their theme...180 degrees from ordinary. We are talking about two vastly different types of cruise experiences...the ...

My friend and I went on Star Breeze recently because I was a super-fan of the ship when it was with Seabourn and I have read that the ships were refurbished and have heard overall good things about Windstar. Boarding was smooth and efficient and we were in our room in minutes. The rooms are great, all large and comfortable. They have mini-bars and walk-in closets. The ship is 25 years old and ...

Better than expected. Gives Silversea a run for their money.

We are frequent cruisers on Silversea, Seabourn & have also cruised on Seadream & Azamara but no others. We were curious to try the newly refurbished Star Breeze on account that we had travelled on the same ship when it was owned by Seabourn. We were slightly nervous as we have always stayed away from non all inclusive cruise lines and were slightly nervous given some of the reviews on ...

Better Than Expected; Amazing Service!

First Time Cruiser • Age 40s

We are frequent international travelers who grew tired of getting lost driving on trips . However we do like to take as much time as possible exploring sites on our own. The Windstar cruise ship Seabreeze turned out to be a great solution. We had plenty of time each day in port to explore and frequently were docked right at the town we were visiting. The small size of the ship ensured that we met ...

This was a first cruise for my friend and I and I was surprised I enjoyed it so much. The itinerary was excellent and length of the cruise was perfect. The service was impeccable. I couldn't fault it. All the crew members that learned my name, greeted me morning noon and night by name. I even had a special dessert made by the executive chef, Eddy. It made me feel so special. The dining room ...
