This was a brand new vessel that was sailing from New Orleans to Red Wing, Minnesota. We were interested in the shore excursions of which 3 did not take place. Our cabin was missing furniture, closet hangers, the thermostat did not work and only blew hot air. Engineering could not fix it. The room appeared never to have been cleaned and the bathroom faucet was very loose. We asked ...

First U.S. river cruise and this was absolutely delightful. The staterooms and the entire boat was furnished in antique furniture combined with modern appointments. This being our fifth trip on the American Queen we had high expectations. And once again they were fulfilled. The service is excellent, the food wonderful and plentiful and very available. The shows are wonderfully staged. The onboard ensemble is as talented as we have come to expect. The Band, Steamboat Syncopators, as always was the finest. The sock hop night was great dancing and great fun. ...

We just returned from a riverboat cruise up the Mississippi, from St. Louis to St. Paul on the American Queen steamboat. What a relaxing way to travel on the Mississippi. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on this trip, as it was a step back in time and truly Americana at its best. The small towns we visited along the way were charming, and the locals were thrilled to see the boat come into town. In ...

This was my Fifth cruise on the AMERICAN QUEEN. Due to high water on the Mississippi River we could not board in St. Louis, as planned. But the company contacted my group to let us know of the change in plans. As a veteran river cruiser, this is part of the adventure. The company then added a different port of call for us, which included unexpected shore excursions. Still a wonderful ...
