Our first cruise - Bali to Singapore
The plus points
Good food in Aqua restaurant
Staff excellent
One or two shows good

The negatives
Cramped cabin - could barely get past end of bed
Tiny balcony - oils only just get 2 chairs and a table on it
Cramped bathroom -
Overpriced excursions
False excision descriptions - eg - “small group walking tour” was ...
We chose the Half World cruise as a way to escape winter and to get to the Arab countries where we wanted to tour. Cruising is always pleasant and so my rating is relative to other cruises we've done. Generally the food was ok (what you might expect at Denny's) and the ride not to bad (for us) even when the seas were rough. But nothing was impressive and the entertainment was VERY lame. You can ...
Pre-Covid we cruised on this ship around Japan and had the very best of times. So on 23rd December 2023 we sailed from Singapore to Bali via Thailand and Malaysia. We has a 9th floor balcony room and Aqua class dining.
Days before departure Celebrity sent me an incomprehensible email about electronic on arrival visa for Bali. I spoke to Celebrity UK and was told to ignore as this was for US and ...
The food in Cafe Blu was horrible. I am a plant eater mostly. My choices were limited and tasteless. My husband found the meats in the Ocean View Cafe to be over cooked. I have noticed on our last 3 cruises with Celebrity that the quality of food has gone down. The entertainment has always been slow, but enjoyable. However, during this cruise the entertainment was unimaginative. I felt like the ...
We chose this cruise a year ago because of the lack of local ships and the itinerary was Ok. However it was changed to visit Noumea twice due to NC government rules. Due to this, many people cancelled and the cruise was sold cheap and given away to many gamblers. This was the last of 7 cruises done on this ship in the last 8 months, so we knew what to expect. What we got was quite ...
*Princess contacted us as the previous cruise had been cancelled. (BNE to BNE)
They offered BNE to Syd, we declined. The first red flag was when we were given a 'personal cruise advisor, not in Australia but the US' What?
The time zone made it impossible for us to communicate at a suitable time. Messages constantly missed, therefore had to wait for the next opportunity to speak. This ...
We were excited to take this smaller cruise ship in the French Polynesia Islands and had read many reviews indicating what a luxury cruise line this was with excellent cuisine and more intimate since the ship is smaller. The staff working onboard are terrific and attentive to every detail. The ship itself is beautiful with updated decor making this very appealing, especially since this is an ...
Carnival Spirit is old and has not updated for over 8 years. Even when updated lots of original items remain; bathrooms and carpets are outdated.
Food gets worse each year, especially for someone who prepares meals each day with fresh food.
Long lines everywhere.
Transportation from airport to ship is horrific! Not worth paying for this service, figure on waiting hours at the airport ...
Dining rooms had repetitive menus for five months, the two specialty restaurants Prime 7 & Chartreuse never changed the menus. All dining rooms were chronically understaffed which meant long waits for food to be taken and then dishes cleared. Newly hired staff had little to no idea of what exactly they were responsible for - we repeatedly waved down staff for a refill of water and wine with our ...
The internet was terrible and expensive. We had to get several visas, but few were actually needed. For example, we had to have a visa to South Korea to board the ship, but later we found that no one needed a visa to SK. MSC will not give me a refund for the unnecessary visa. We paid for a larger room that did not exist on that ship, with no refund in sight. Food was decent, but not great. Rooms ...
