FIRST AND LAST CRUISE - FIJI & NEW CALEDONIA 2024

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Grand Princess

This was the worst travel experience of my life. It was our first time on a cruise and certainly the last with Grand Princess. This cruise is suitable for 60 year olds and above only. The cruise itself is extremely outdated! I wouldn’t even say it could pass as a family cruise. 1 of the 3 stops they made over the 2 weeks was an industrial area. We even did a tour and didn’t even see much at all. ...

This was our first Regent cruise. We have previously sailed with Viking,Virgin, Celebrity, Holland, MSC, NcL and Carnival mostly in suites. We are childless couple in our sixties and started cruising in 2018. We are active and enjoy great food and drink. We always enjoy ourselves. This cruise was disappointing from the very start. The ship is older but not well maintained. The crew was ...

Positives: (1) we were on board within a half hour of arrival to the the pier. (2) my dh and i won 2 trivia contests which had actual prizes-bottles of champagne (3) the princess app on the phone was easy to navigate. (4) dravuni, fiji cruise port is outstanding and saved this cruise from being a zero. Negatives: (1) no ac in our cabin for 3 days in the hot south pacific. Impossible to have a ...

A friend at work recommended a cruise, in a moment of madness we booked through luxury escapes for 10 nights leaving Sydney for New Caledonia and Vanuatu. The ship is tired and showing its age, tattoos looked compulsory, probably with their room number so when they are inebriated they can find their way back. There is nothing interesting to do unless you enjoy drinking, belly flop competitions or ...

Well below the advertised exceptional service, overpriced and poor communication from DCL

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Disney Wonder

My recent 6-night Disney Wonder cruise from Sydney over New Year's was marked by a series of disappointing experiences that left me questioning the value of the hefty price tag. The trip started with a frustrating health check email hours before departure, requiring an internet connection to complete while trying to entertain a preschooler. Booking cruise activities proved to be a letdown, with ...

Disappointing

I heard great things about the service, dinner shows and wanted a little holiday for my family (sole parent and pre-schooler), and head the photography was expensive but worth it. Even though I pre purchased a photo pac, only ~12 photos were taken onboard (one at diner on night 3, and only two photos each character we managed to visit - as super hero’s didn’t have photographers). Luckily ...

If you have vertigo like I have, this is not a ship for you The ship is old and not heavy enough and wobbles a lot The rooms are so small, rooms and hallways smell horrible we complained unfortunately they only added chemical to the bathroom pipes which only reduced it just a little Also the servers at Garden Buffet are not professional We noticed most of them constantly are sexually ...

The Great Disappointment

After having cruised with P&O and Carnival I was expecting better than what was on offer from Royal Caribbean on this cruise. The embarkation process was quick and easy. Our oceanview cabin was clean and spacious but the interior furnishings like the sofa, were tired looking and in need of upgrading. The bed was not comfortable and we had to get our room attendant to find some mattress toppers ...

A disappointing cruise experience

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Crown Princess

User Avatar

The Crown Princess is an aging ship in need of some updating. Staterooms and public areas look past their prime. Some upholstery shabby, décor dated. Dining room menu seems to be in rotation every few days. Nothing of interest or originality. Poorly prepared at times and often smothered with some gravy or sauce seemingly meant to cover up what lies beneath. One of the more common offerings ...
