Many things wrong with this ship. Very outdated Ship, desperately needs a refurbish Most guests older, not a lot of kids Specialty Restaurants Giovanni's was ok, Chops was horrific I ordered a bone in rib eye so did my wife and we got, a different cut. Staff was friendly Windjammer was not same quality as the bigger boats Too many disappointments Ship should be named JUNK ...

Costa Favolosa. Some good, some horrible.

Costa Fervolosa Cruise. Review Employees: With exception of one on the third floor, at the reception table, all others were sweet, gentle and willing to help. Big kudos to the cashier at the Amarillo Ice Cream and coffee place. He is very gentil. Also kudos to the Indian employees at the cheeseburger joint. They are amazing. The App: The app is a joke. It doesn’t work when you ...

Not impressed

Another cruise needed

We are a group of 11-13 who have cruised together for two years. This year we sailed Royal Carribbean's Jewel of the Seas from March 9th to March 16th. We sailed out of Puerto Rico. Half of our group stayed at the Marriott at Miramar, close to the cruise port. This hotel is old, dirty, and expensive. I would choose another location for the price. Embarkation day was the smoothest of any cruise ...

A disappointed trip

Review for a South America Cruise on Sapphire Princess

User Avatar

We have cruised many times of Princess. We were very disappointed on this trip. We booked it as a 32 day cruise from Buenos Aires to LA, not knowing that it was two trips. We did expect rough waters but we didn't except not to see Cape Horn, one of the reasons for the trip. We also had a port excluded because of the weather. There were so many extra sea days. The food and entertainment was ...

First Cruise Ever - Never Crusing Again

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

This was my first and last cruise. I am at loss for words… As a first time cruiser I had a lot of things to learn. Just suck that it came at such an expensive price! The only reason they got a 2 is because the service was good and our room was made everyday just like we like it. The food was HORRIBLE - I work in the school system and our lunch lady made gastronomic food compare to this! ...

Not what I paid for.

Review for a South America Cruise on Norwegian Star

Having cruised on Norwegian before the pandemic, I believe Norwegian is suffering from post pandemic syndrome and is using the pandemic to reduce services and quality. My specific problems were: 1. The itinerary followed was not what I paid for. The three days cruising Antarctica were reduced to one while the weather was glorious. 2. Sanitation standards were low. I contracted Covid ...

Lines, Fees and Itinerary Changes

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Norwegian Star

This isn't your ordinary kick back by the pool in the sunshine and be pampered cruise itinerary. It goes to ANTARCTICA! For many on the ship who are frequent travelers, this was the final destination, the SEVENTH continent to visit. The destination is unique. The itinerary is grueling: it crosses The Drake Passage- where the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans converge. Some days, it's a "lake". ...

Disappointing Experience for Longtime RCL Cruisers

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

Long-time RCL cruisers. First AND LAST time we let them choose our room (we were just going along with our group). I should have known as soon as I opened the first drawer on the chipped dresser and the front of it fell off! Had to pound it back together. Our veranda was a rusty mess! In need of paint but not on the floor and table that was splattered with old paint. We had soot rain down ...

Review for a South America Cruise on Norwegian Star

This was our 6th cruise. Unfortunately ranks at the bottom. If you've cruised within the US or Europe, this will be a disappointment. Embarkation. Like a disorganized maze. Luggage drop off is different location from your checking in. Buses will ferry pax from these 2 locations. Address sent by Norwegian Star erroneous....meant for locals only. Itineraries. Antarctica (Paradise Bay, ...

Don't book Norwegian AFT facing Balcony on deck 8!

Review for a South America Cruise on Norwegian Star

User Avatar

We cruise often and have mainly stayed with Norwegian so we have achieved some status that adds a few perks. This was an amazing itinerary mainly to see Antarctica and that did not disappoint. It should be on everyone's bucket list. The good - We like the size of the Star. Not a mega ship, holding about 2500 passengers. The staff was friendly and helpful without exception. The ...
