Beautiful cruise around Ireland
"Oceania, is known for the food on board and in general I would say the food is nicely prepared, presented and good. But, in general, the cruise was good and enjoyable...."Read More

More wrong than right

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Sirena

So many things were wrong with this cruise! First and foremost, the reception desk girls were rude. When I asked a question I would mostly get one word answers. Eg. “Do you have a lost and found?” They answered “Here”. I had to prod her for more specific answers. Courtesy such as “How may I help you” or “What are you looking for?” was non-existent. Another time we asked for help to ...

Good and Bad Time On Sirenca

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Sirena

We had sailed previously on the Marina and had a good cruise. Oceania offered an itinerary for Iberian and French Charisma that appealed to us. Unfortunately, due to weather delays in Denver, we did not arrive in Barcelona until 8:30 PM, which was after the Sirena had sailed. As we had booked our flights and transfers through Oceania, we were confident that someone would meet us at the airport ...

Good itinerary and great staff on board

We chose this cruise in order to see specific ports including Barcelona, Seville, Oporto, Bordeaux and Bilbao. We chose Oceania specifically for the itinerary, small size of ship and reputation for a top notch cruise ship with excellent food and personal service. We signed up for several excursions and planned a few private excursions with our traveling companions. We found the staff on board ...

Never Again

As a couple who has cruised many times on HAL, Norwegian, Celebrity, Princess, Viking and Windstar, we decided to look into Oceania as their smaller ship with exceptional food and service reputation appealed to us. Much of the cruise was not only disappointing, but actually frustrating. Our boarding passes stated that our embarkation time would be at 6:30 p.m. There were two busloads of ...

Best O Cruise Ever

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Sirena

This was our fifth Oceania cruise and our first transatlantic. We are in our late 70's and have some mobility challenges; so the port intensive itineraries can be exhausting. This was our experiment to see how we would like more sea days, and it did not disappoint. Sirena, one of the smaller O ships, is also a good size for us. We selected a penthouse suite right by the aft elevators; so we ...

Deeply disappointed

We selected this cruise based on the ports and were told this was a top cruise line. We upgraded to the Concierge Level Veranda but it was so small compared to other cruise lines (Viking is the best). We could not move in the bathroom, there was only a few inches from the end of the bed to the wall. The smoking on the ship was an issue. The ship design did not offer cozy areas to read or ...

OK For old folks and not what we want.

First off the ages of the passengers average mid-70s. I'm 67 and I feel like I'm on a cruise with my parents! The entertainment targets this geriatric crowd. As a whole the passengers are not the most friendly. The crew is very good. The food is very good, but the availability is quite limited during the day. The excursions need improvement. They are more expensive than other cruise ...

Enjoyable return to cruising

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Sirena

Chose this cruise as we like Oceania, embarkation close to home, and because of the port calls around the North Sea and part of Southern Baltic. The first port in Faroes was cancelled to everyone’s disappointment, replaced by Invergordon. Which I really enjoyed, to my surprise. Otherwise everything went to plan and we thoroughly enjoyed the mix of other ports, particularly Stavanger and Oslo. ...

Not like the past and not good for the money

Be ware-- while Oceania's cruise prices are mostly back to "normal" our cruise was not. As you will read in reviews by others, there are many differences with prior cruises on Oceania. This was our 7th cruise on Oceania. The staff tries hard but is either poorly or insuffiently trained. Too many staff are inexperienced. They smile and are pleasant but miss the mark. Consequently, you may food ...

We sailed from Dublin to Dublin beginning on 7/3/22. We chose this cruise because of the great itinerary. The ship went all the way around Ireland. The ports were all great. The staff was amazing. The food superb. However, there was very limited internet access. Access is advertised as free and available all over the ship. There wasn’t enough bandwidth available for the number of ...
