Our cabin needs to be renovated. The furnishings were scuffed and one of the drawers had come apart. This was corrected as soon as I called it in. The sofa bed cushions kept sliding forward. We were not successful in our attempt to fix this. Finally halfway through the cruise after a second complaint about it, one of the staff came in and took it completely apart and reset the cushions. I will make sure not to book a room in the future that has a sofa bed. The room was small but adequate. Lots of space for 35 days worth of stuff. The furniture on the veranda looked new; nicer than the other "R" ships. But the other furnishings were not in good condition like the other "R" ships. Something strange about this ship - occasionally the water from the sink came out brown. I put a washcloth under it and there were dark brown spots on the cloth. I asked about this but was not given an explanation of why this was happening. And I don't know if it was corrected. But other CC members complained of the same thing in their cabins. The carpet did look new so maybe some renovations were made. The mattress was not up to Oceania standards as when you sat on the edge, it sank down. I don't remember this on the other ships. Cabin: The cabin itself was very nice, lots of storage. The bathroom extremely tiny--this was not an excuse of a small ship, I have been on these ships before at the same size and configuration and the bathroom is a tad bigger. The shower looked like the original shower from the build date, showing signs of wear. Toiletries were great and in nice sized bottles, not the tiny ones that are hard to get product out. The balcony, had rust stains running down the walls and everything felt dirty and greasy, chairs, rails and floor. The "teak" floor appeared to have been installed by workers with poor eyesight since black caulking was streaked all over the deck. The separation panel had paper stuffed in it, so it wouldn't rattle--I believe there are parts for that. The TV sat in a corner, that made it tough to see from the bed and had a 16-18 inch screen. The cabin itself was Freezing--couldn't get it to warm up, tried everything for a day and called to have it fixed. They came and fixed and followed-up on it. The "stocked" refrigerator in your cabin was stocked with 2 cokes, a sprite, one tonic water and soda water. It was never re-stocked. Maybe not a complaint, but they put two huge bottles of water on the desk--I would prefer smaller bottles, perhaps in the refrigerator and then they would fit in the bathroom as well. Read Less

We booked Veranda Stateroom 6068, on the port side of the ship. This offered some of the best views as we entered some of the islands. Our stateroom was small, mostly in width. There is a very narrow walkway between the foot of the bed and the wall. The wall at the end of the bed is mirrored to give the appearance of depth, but only one person at a time could pass through this area. The balcony is also small based on the width of the room, but still well enjoyed. The bathroom is fairly normal sized for a cruise ship. There was ample storage in the cabin & bathroom. The bed and linens were luxuriously comfortable, and wonderful for sleeping. A/C worked great and was well appreciated as it is very hot in French Polynesia in February! Read Less
