Booked through Iglu cruises who were good
3 days in Cape Town far outwayed our expectations- fantastic stay ….Then we got on the ship . Should have stayed in Cape Town.
Boat is shabby . We had a restricted view cabin on deck 8 . When I say restricted- couldn’t see anything but life boat .
Layout of cabin awful . You couldn’t get to one side of bed which had its head below windows . Very ...
Our Island Princess Cruise was scheduled with an itinerary from Dubai to the Red Sea / Suez Canal to the Greek Islands to Italy. Due to world events, Princess deleted the itinerary and substituted a new segment from Cape Town to Rome through the eastern Mediterranean.
This was our 45th wedding anniversary trip and we had targeted the Greek Isles as a bucket list item to check-off. Princess ...
I went on this cruise with relatives who were celebrating a big anniversary and I was in a solo studio. This was my first time on the Epic and I had a great cruise but my experience was likely very different from others who sailed on this ship recently. Reasons for this may be because this cruise had fewer people on it than others recently and it seemed as though there was a lot of new staff. I ...
I have just read the last review relating to the same cruise and I couldn't agree more.
We understand that the ship has been in operation for 20 years but there were several occasions as though this was the first time that it had been in service. Disconnection of internal staff communication, poor management of embarkation/immigration procedure, apparent disinterest of some of the senior staff, ...
Never again!-Well this cruise was sold to us on the basis of visiting some exotic and fairly off the beaten track unusual places -we paid for a 12 day cruise with stops in Madagascar and Mozambique. In the end NCL provided a 10 day trip which didn’t stop in either of the two countries above and involved 4 days floating slowly across the Indian Ocean at a speed designed to save them fuel and ...
We chose this cruise because of the interesting itinerary from Mauritius, via Réunion, Madagascar, Mozambique , down the east coast of Africa to Cape Town. Even before we sailed, Mozambique was cut. We were involved in the cholera debacle, being due to board on the 25th Feb, but holed up in Mauritius until the 27th. These things happen, we all know that, but the way NCL handled it was appalling. ...
Our group of 7 family and friends were excited to begin the NCL cruise embarking in Mauritius that we had all been planning months. When we arrived in Mauritius, We received a letter via email saying that the cruise was unable to dock due to health concerns by the port. We were instructed to report at our pre-arranged boarding time to the port. at which time we would receive accommodation until ...
I wish I would’ve googled this ship before we booked, but I guess I gotta learn somehow. This was our first cruise with Norwegian and everyone was ranting and raving about how great everything is. The only thing they had going for them was embarkment and disembarking, that was super easy as long as you know what you are doing. Our room had a hull balcony, which is fine because I knew what those ...
This was our 25th cruise and first on one NCL, chosen only because of the unique itinerary sailing to Madagascar, Mozambique, Reunion, and South Africa from Mauritius. Long story short, our sailing was delayed by 2 days and both Madagascar ports were cut, along with both Mozambique ports months earlier (the day after final payment!). We were promised a prorated refund for the 2 missed days of the ...
We've used Norwegian for all our cruises and after this one we hit the Platinum level Latitudes. We've experienced some amazing things cruising with NCL, but this cruise has been awful. Only two redeeming things we've had in 12 days. The first was a dinner at their new Mexican restaurant Los Lobos Cantina. The food was excellent, the service was exceptional. We also always book the Mandara Spa ...
