It went wrong with the check in counter at the terminal of Marine Bay Cruise Terminal in Singapore.
Before that awful experience everything went smooth.
It was my wife’s Australian visa, although GRANTED, that caused the uproar.
She is Filipina, a flight attended for 33 years with Cathay Pacific, and applied on line for an Australian Visa, which was granted within 3 days.

One of the reasons we chose this cruise is that we had never been to Darwin. Well. we still haven't! The Exit deck was changed from Deck 1 (as was widely advertised) to deck 4, and the ramp provided was incredibly steep. I hired a scooter for the express purpose of seeing Darwin, but it would not have been safe to take it down the incline, nor would I have been able to ride it back up. ...
Hi, I'm an experienced cruiser, but have never sailed with Royal Caribbean.
My Mum (75)and I flew from Heathrow to Singapore, stayed overnight, and joined the voyager of the seas for the trip of a life time visiting Australia.
We checked in our 2 cases, with full information stapled to handles, confirming we were on the voyager, as the Quantum of the seas was birthed beside.
We ...
We have sailed only once previously with RC on Ovation of the seas, from Sydney to New Zealand and back to Sydney, and had a great time so we decided to try the newly renovated Voyager of the Seas. No complaints whatsoever. What a disappointment this cruise was.
The check in at Singapore was extremely unorganised.
There are only two sets of elevators which for a ship of this size is ...
We spent a wonderful week in Singapore before boarding for the Cruise to Australia so we were looking forward to the cruise home. Voyager was the first ship we ever sailed on with Royal Caribbean several years ago and we were anticipating a great cruise similar to our previous experience. Boarding in Singapore was a nightmare. Very slow, hot and some not very accommodating port staff, in fact, ...
I love Singapore, so taking this cruise was an opportunity to piggyback on a trip to that magnificent city nation. Ive cruised with Royal Caribbean a few times and am a diamond plus member. I cruise solo about 75% of the time.
To start off with a nice comment, some of the food in the windjammer was, surprisingly, good. I never thought I'd write that.in a review. There appears to one or more ...
I chose this cruise simply because it was a bargain, got it for a great price.
As a solo it is hard to get a single price.
Easy flight to Singapore from Sydney and back from Perth.
Most repositioning cruises you have to travel half way around the world to get to them.
RCI never seem to disappoint there was plenty to do especially on the sea days, lots of pool activities, entertainment ...
We went to singapore before the cruise and stayed 4 days.
We really love Singapore, a Great Country and City
We got a transfer to the terminal and arrived around 10.30am. We checked in the priority line and waited to board.
As per usual embarkation was quick and easy, on was on the ship quite quickly.
We had booked a grand suite as we have been in them before.
I was however a little ...
We have sailed on this Ship before and enjoyed it very much. The start of our Cruise was a nightmare we waited forever to get on board then one of our suitcases was not delivered to our cabin and was held because we had a opened bottle of Gran Marnia which they took of us we were not impressed as we spent 5 days in Singapore and thought we could bring it with us, while checking our bag a luggage ...
2 years after our last cruise with RCI we were bitterly disappointed on this cruise. The lack of staff very evident and the constant upselling of their products was grating. Our poor room attendant serviced 19 rooms and we had to constantly remind him to get towels, bathmats etc. Forget about having your balcony cleaned- didn't even wipe down the table. Activities very poor with only 1 staff ...
