My Oceania’s Riviera cruise was a disappointment

Checking in at Singapore port was a mess and unorganized. Tables at buffet dining room were so closed to each other, people could trip easily by kicking into chair or table legs. Food was so so. The first evening at buffet dining room, my steak was tough, very salty and had freezer taste. Specialty dining rooms were disappointment except the Red Ginger. We were at Grand restaurant for dinner ...

Disappointing

After more than 5 cruises we find that it has changed. It claims the best cuisine at sea but now fails to deliver. The crew are different ,many many more Indians and many fewer Phillippinos whose energy and enthusiasm was badly missed. Firstly the buffet repetitive and lacking any imagination ,the speciality restaurants just bland and tasteless .Throughout the ship the starters lacked any ...

Very enjoyable cruise

Review for a Asia Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

We really enjoyed our 35 day cruise. There was plenty to do, very good speakers and outstanding musicians. A very good entertainment team, difficult to imagine being bored. We enjoyed very competitive and well attended, traditional deck games and the art, enrichment and entertainment programmes. Nice to do painting classes rather than craft. The Queen is looking a bit shabby; the lovely teak ...

First time with the Queen Mary 2 doing SYD-SIN. We have been with Royal Carribean Allure of the Seas and Aida Blue. First time coming in we have visited the pursers office to ensure we don't get charged their hefty daily room service charge.. then next day the charges were applied to our room... anyways we got this fixed right away by visiting them.. no worries. We were charged again though ...

Superb Ship, Crew and Itinerary

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We had picked this cruise for the itinerary, but were a little wary about Regent after having made an itinerary choice on another NCL line (Oceania) last year and been badly let down. I was concerned that Regent would be an "all inclusive" version of Oceania, but I was very happily completely wrong. Aside from the quirks dealing with 'Miami" beforehand (I suspect that all NCL brand passengers ...

This is our third trip on Nautica. We stopped for two years because of Covid On this trip - the food is excellent - the staff is ver friendly and courteous - the room stewards ( ours is May ) are superb But - The internet service is one person per cabin, even though we paid for two people. Website misleading, only states free internet no mention of restrictions per cabin - ...

Cruise's plan was changed but stops were chosen in uninteresting places. It could be improved with better quality shore excursions . The tours were superficial and looked as if no thought had been put into them. I don't understand the answer to my questions...this is what we can get. So tell that to your passengers and charge much less than you charge d. The crew on board was excellent, ...

Epic journey thru Asia

My first trip to Asia and I am so glad I could travel on my home away from home - Oceania Cruise Line. The crew of the Nautica was so welcoming, the right balance of professional and friendly. We spent 41 days on board from Singapore to Barcelona. My only regret really is that the timing for this cruise was pushed back a bit, so instead of sailing in March it was in May. This meant that we were ...

Cutbacks have made Oceania quite mediocre.

We are a retired couple who have cruised with Oceania for many years. In the past, they have been outstanding; however, recent cutbacks have resulted in our May 2023 Singapore to Dubai cruise falling well short of our expectations. Specifically: * Although the meals were well-cooked and attractively presented, the food quality was lower. We received shrimp whose meat was mush; hard to cut ...

We travelled on Quest from Singapore to Athens after a Xmas Silverseas Spirit experience and the difference could not be more stark. Yes we did a review after our Xmas experience and now compare the amazing difference. Quest crew were excellent all happy and friendly and seem to want to be there and make your trip pleasurable. Things like the nightly shows were at a reasonable time 8.15 pm ...
