I have over 10 years of cruising history with over 20 cruises on various line. I have seen better and lesser conditions on cruises over that time BUT The cruise that I have just taken on MSC on the Splendida on Feb 14 has been an example of the worst that I have ever experienced.

I booked this cruise 3 days before the virus hysteria started. I chose it because it was very cheap (about 40 euro person/day) with an Ok itinerary.
It turned out to be probably the best and definitely the most luxurious cruise in my life.

We chose this cruise primarily because of the destinations. We loved the locations that we visuted, but were disappointed with the overall on board experience. We embarked in Singapore and it was probably the best embarkation we have ever had. Very fast and efficient. We went straight to our cabin and one of our suitcases arrived soon after. Our cabin steward as always, was fabulous. These guys are amazing. In fact all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I have taken more than 40 cruises and this cruise was by far the best. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff and you were always greeted in a pleasant greeting. Everything worked from the checking in to the disembarkment. Food was amazing, entertaining the best I have ever seen. We wanted to see this part of the world. The ship needs a total remake. Our cabin was fine, our service in cabin and dining select was good. Food was overall good, they ran out of things twice.
