Chose a new ship having recently been on the tired Grand, loved the itinerary, found things lacking such as: No promenade deck! Well can go up and down part of deck 7, have to squeeze in past tenders, sweat as go past hot air vents then turn back and repeat as can't do circuit Space in theatre appalling, only went to 3 things as had to queue for an hour to get in ALSO mother disabled and viewing in disabled seating area in theatre was atrocious only top 1/4 visible if not in front row! No alternative entertainment being offered simultaneously in Vista to reduce demand in theatre 3,500 pax 900 ? Seats two shows the math does not work. Lack of bars/ drink service Lack of swimming pools Cabin ( standard balcony) very cramped , no second chair or table ( brochure picture clearly shows both) balcony very small Food tepid in self serve Why is towel booth required on deck 16 lido, when there are towel stands surely it would be more use as beverage station........ Lack of cold/hot beverage points in accessible areas, i.e. Prior to handwash... Ridiculous hand wash station prior to Horizon Court Excursions very expensive/ poor value for money, tour guides on the whole difficult to understand Piazza area superb but WHY the vast area devoted to photos surely these could be displayed on smart TV in cabins, this area would be much better as a social area Entertainment was lack-lustre, day time activities on Sea days minimal and/or un hosted, NO SAILAWAY / cocktail of the day or events like BBQ held on lido deck in evenings, theme nights / pool parties or local entertainments/food experiences Shops on board too high end!!!! Where were the rummage sales? We all want souvenirs and or grandchildren presents Read Less

The region was new for my wife and I and with this being a new ship, it made it an attractive choice. It is a nice ship that was built specifically for the Asian/Chinese market. All signage is in English and Cantonese, and motif along same lines. We has sailed its sister ship Royal Princess and liked that one more. The size of this ship restricted its ability to use some ports and terminals closer to the major cities thus creating lengthy drives for excursions on this itinerary. Since the Majestic will now be based in Shanghai for next 8-9 months, we don't know if it will sail the same ports and have same docking locations. All in all we had a good time and enjoyed the facilities this ship had to offer. One major issue we had on this cruise is lack of orderly process for immigration clearance. There were no officers monitoring people arriving at scheduled times. This resulted a waiting in line for 1.5 hours to complete a 2-3 minute clearance by South Korean officials. Read Less

I can't understand the negative reviews. I usually don't write reviews but had to give our opinion. Six of us,3 couples, got on the Majestic Princess at Singapore on 18th.June 2017 for 21 night cruise..We've done lots of cruises (23 for my wife & I) but this was a special cruise. We like band music & dancing and we've decided that Princess has the best bands of any cruise line.Over the 3 weeks on board we enjoyed 4 different bands. Happy hours with band music were a highlight. We had early dining in the Symphony dining room and our waiter Erasto & his assistant Danny were wonderful ( 10/10). Food in the dining room was excellent & so was the Marketplace with a big variety of dishes and many Asian fruits that were new to us & that we enjoyed. We had a balcony cabin & our room steward Rodrigo was also excellent anything we required was granted. We attended trivia competitions and fun live TV husband/wife quiz shows, bingo and dancing, port information talks etc. Theatre shows were very good particularly Nat King Cole, Johnny Cash impersonators, the Blues Brothers, a fabulous violinist, a Canadian comedian, song/dance shows were all very good. A few minor complaints: only two computers is insufficient in the Internet room (however I have to admit I got on immediately the 3 times I used them). I'd like the shops to sell some cheaper items as well as the high end brands. Shop prices seemed to be cheaper than a Duty Free store we visited in our Incheon excursion. I was glad to see Princess implement the idea of a different colour carpet on each side of the ship's stateroom hallways. ( I've always wanted this & in future a pattern pointing forward would be even better). Cabin was a little smaller than usual but nothing to complain about. Our safe was not working properly & our room steward arranged repairs & the repairman decided to replace the safe all within a short time. Of the 23 cruises we've been on my wife & I rated this cruise in the top three. Read Less
