A slap in the face!

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Seven Seas Explorer

The Viking ad is correct. What there is not enough of is time. We booked the extended Regent cruise from Singapore to Auckland. Australia had several stops. Most of which were kept. New Zealand in 2018 passes a requirement for all ships entering their waters to have their hulls cleaned prior to doing so. Yet Regent never could arrange for it. Upon being noticed that the Seven Seas was barred ...

First-time Azamara cruise--excellent but not stellar

Review for a Asia Cruise on Azamara Quest

We like small ships and have been on Windstar frequently. Windstar passengers kept recommending Azamara to us, so we decided on this itinerary as a good tryout for another smaller-ship line. Overall, we thought the cruise was excellent and very comparable to Windstar, with some differences. Some thoughts on specifics: Vibe: Although bigger than Windstar (400 passengers this cruise out of a ...

We have always herard great things about Silverseas We did cruise with them several years ago, but we weren't very impressed at that time.. Regardlees , close friends asked to join them this most recent cruise... so we thought we would try it once more.. OK... here we go ship itself is great . Suites and public rooms are nicely done and kept up very well. The ship is clean.. The ...

Outstanding cruise

Review for a Asia Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

I had an extended balcony Britannia room midship on L6. The room was tight but sufficient. There was a small desk, 2 bedside drawers, wardrobe space, under the bed storage, a small fridge, small kettle, with tea and coffee sachets and little packets of biscuits every day, and small chocolates in the evening. There was a complimentary bottle of champagne. Room was serviced twice day. The ...

The Voyage of Indulgence!

Review for a Africa Cruise on Silver Spirit

We chose this cruise — 14 days Singapore to Mumbai — because we were offered a once-in-a-lifetime deal. Sadly, CV-19 caught up with us and seven of our ports refused us entry. Nevertheless, after 18 days, we made it to Darwin, in Australia. How can I begin to explain how marvellous the crew were! The ship was kept absolutely spotless! And I mean that. Every day, every surface was sanitised — ...

China Seas Cruise

Review for a Africa Cruise on Silver Spirit

We were looking forward to the places we had not been to and on entering the ship and cabin, our YouTube expectations were met by the fixtures and fittings we found. On sailing North from Singapore to Thailand all was well, but after the first port of Phuket the cruise went pear shape. Myanmar and then Sri Lanka closed its borders. So back to Malaysia and after landing in Penang, and the port for ...

This was the link cruise between Imagine Cruising’s Wonders of the World tour which should have included China and India - full review of that on Tripadviser. Joined the ship at Singapore and set sail for a 14 day journey to Mumbai via Thailand, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Cochin. From the first moment the ship and its staff exceeded expectations - a smaller ship at 604 passengers than many cruise ...

Meandering around the South China Sea

Review for a Africa Cruise on Silver Spirit

We have been regular Silversea travellers including twice on the Silver Spirit before it was lengthened. The lengthening seems to have produced a jerky motion at low speeds. The cruise from Singapore to Mumbai only got as far as the first port: Phuket. With all the scheduled ports closed we then meandered around the South China Sea for 10 days hoping someone would let us in. Eventually, we ...

First Time Seabourn

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

We have cruised quite a bit with a number of cruise lines and enjoyed most of them. Seabourn had been on our wish list as we had heard good things. We enjoy Asia, have good friends in Singapore, and the cruise offered a good blend of ports and sea day. From arriving at the pier to departing the ship the service we received was outstanding in every way. There is no shortage of staff who are ...

A fun cruise on a lovely ship

Review for a Asia Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

We belong to the Frank Family Wine group, which chose a cruise on the Ovation in January 2020. Overall, the cruise was very good. The personnel are very friendly and, for the most part, efficient. Our statement was spacious, though a little narrow. Our room steward, who was very friendly and who tried to please, at times missed some basics. For example, once she forgot to leave us any bath ...
