We are 5 star on HAL and love cruising the high seas. This itinerary was wonderful. We boarded in Hong Kong. Because of Cruise Critic we knew several couples that would be sailing. The ship was clean and the Indonesian (only) staff was very friendly and gave their best. The cabins were O.K. and the ship, though old, was very clean. Review of the Volendam Food: 1) fine. Could have been spiced some more ; understand it must be reasonably standardized.
