First time with the Queen Mary 2 doing SYD-SIN. We have been with Royal Carribean Allure of the Seas and Aida Blue. First time coming in we have visited the pursers office to ensure we don't get charged their hefty daily room service charge.. then next day the charges were applied to our room... anyways we got this fixed right away by visiting them.. no worries. We were charged again though ...

Very tired ship with zero response to maintenance issues.

Review for a Asia Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

Having taken over 35 Celebrity Cruises, we love the brand. That's so true that we splurged for a Royal Suite. Don't make that mistake. The extra large balcony, which should be enticing, had rust throughout, major grout issues, furniture that had to be removed because it was unstable and much more. The cabin is an excellent size but the ship is aging so fast that the pillows and couches were, ...

Pre-Covid we cruised on this ship around Japan and had the very best of times. So on 23rd December 2023 we sailed from Singapore to Bali via Thailand and Malaysia. We has a 9th floor balcony room and Aqua class dining. Days before departure Celebrity sent me an incomprehensible email about electronic on arrival visa for Bali. I spoke to Celebrity UK and was told to ignore as this was for US and ...

Review for a Asia Cruise on Westerdam

our 2 week Indonesian explorer was disappointing. some issues we experienced: - the airco of our cabin (incl the complete corridor incl our neighbours) was not cool enough. esp. at night the cabin temperature was way too hot. we woke up in the middle of night sweating. HAL did inroom measurements and acknowledged that it was up to appr. 20% higher than it should be (24 degrees vs 20 degrees). ...

Just ok in southeast asia

Review for a Asia Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

Second time in Southeast Asia. First time on cruise. Second time on Norwegian. The only good thing on Norwegian is they hire great dancers and fairly good singers and great acrobats. This tired old ship was supposedly refurbished a few years ago in 2018 or so but doesn’t look upscale or nice at all. I can’t imagine what the pool with the large cartoon fish looked like before. Cruises now do not ...

One and Done with Cunard

Review for a Asia Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

After over 50 cruises, I thought it would make sense to sail Cunard. BIG mistake. The Queen Elizabeth was coming out of a dry dock just prior to our cruise, so I expected to step aboard an almost new, spiffy ship. That didn't happen. There were broken items in the Lido, in the Casino, in the Laundry rooms and in the public bathrooms. And everything that was broken on Day 1 stayed broken to the end ...

Our First and Last Cruise on HAL Westerdam

To resume pre-Covid travel, we decided to take up an attractive 2 week fly/cruise package departing Singapore. Having previously sailed on Cunard and Celebrity we sought out a different cruise line,HAL, which was scheduled to visit approx 6 interesting Asian ports. This proved to be a huge mistake. Amongst the few positive aspects of the line's Westerdam ship is it quirky, modern art deco ...

COSTA is a very disorganised company!

Review for a Asia Cruise on Costa Fortuna

We chose this cruise because it visited the Countries and Ports we really like. I contacted Costa on 29th February the day before flying into Singapore and they told me the cruise was going ahead as originally planned. We had heard via (Facebook) that Cambodia and Vietnam ports had already been canceled, and I suspected that Thailand and Malaysian Ports were also going to be canceled as ...

WORSE CRUISE EVER

Review for a Asia Cruise on Costa Fortuna

We were really excited to be going on the Costa Fortuna cruise ship. We arranged for the appropriate visas for Cambodia, travel insurance and up to date passports as these were required documentations BY COSTA, otherwise you would be denied boarding the cruise. Well to start off, we were NOT EVEN ASKED for these documentations upon arrival and second, WE DID NOT NEED TO DO THE VISAS AS COSTA WOULD ...

Paid for balcony but regular maintenance work made it impossible to enjoy

Review for a Asia Cruise on Costa Fortuna

Part of a package of 4 Cruises. We are a couple in our mid 70s who have been on several cruises and this is our first Costa Cruise. Cabin - spacious. Crew - overworked but wonderfully friendly, courteous and helpful. However, *No ice- bucket in cabin in spite of it being a Premium Balcony - whatever Premium means in the Mediterranean. The fridge was not called. *We only had ...
