One and Done with Cunard

Review for a Asia Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

After over 50 cruises, I thought it would make sense to sail Cunard. BIG mistake. The Queen Elizabeth was coming out of a dry dock just prior to our cruise, so I expected to step aboard an almost new, spiffy ship. That didn't happen. There were broken items in the Lido, in the Casino, in the Laundry rooms and in the public bathrooms. And everything that was broken on Day 1 stayed broken to the end ...

Excellent itinerary 16 days Singapore to Tokyo. PRO'S - Staff good, cabin stewards great - food excellent in Princess Grills and Lido - theater shows very good - Talks overall good, Sally Gunnell was totally in command and interesting. Ship looked good after her paint job. CON'S - Never spoke with an officer, they never made eye contact and normal walked very quickly in two's. the Captain ...

I had an extended balcony Britannia room midship on L6. The room was tight but sufficient. There was a small desk, 2 bedside drawers, wardrobe space, under the bed storage, a small fridge, small kettle, with tea and coffee sachets and little packets of biscuits every day, and small chocolates in the evening. There was a complimentary bottle of champagne. Room was serviced twice day. The ...

Trip of a Lifetime

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

We chose this cruise due to the ports served. Originally planned to go with Oceania but I did not like the reviews. Cunard did not gouge us on Visas for example. Oceania charged $150 for Vietnam visas Cunard only $30. We upgraded to Princess and that made a big difference. The Princess Grill was the best run dining room that I have ever seen. If you take a cruise on this ship it is worth the extra ...

My husband and I chose this cruise because of the itinerary. The embarkation process ran smoothly and we did not have to wait too long to board the ship in Singapore. We had a cabin near to mid-ship on Deck 4 with an obstructed view - i.e. there was a lifeboat right outside the window so we could only see the sky. The cabin itself was a nice size with two wardrobes and a few shelves. under ...

Chose this cruise across the Indian Ocean as it visited lots of places that we had not seen before. Also, it was in the sunshine! Great cruise, super service and everything was spot on. The food quality was OK but not 'special' as we expected from a premium cruise line. The amounts on the plate were quite modest but that was OK with us as we are not big people. However, the price of drinks was a ...

We are experienced cruises using many different cruise lines but this was the first time that we had used Cunard. The main reason was that two ports of call were in India which we had yet to visit. Singapore was as usual a delight have lived there in the past and visited on quite a few occasions. The check in was excellent within 20 minutes we were through all the formalities and on board the ship ...

Singapore to Dubai; Excellent Ports and Food, Not Excellent Service

Overview This was a very special cruise for my Husband and I; it was our honeymoon cruise! I am not very good at sitting still for long periods of time, so this cruise was the perfect mix of sea days and ports to give us a chance to relax and reflect on our wedding but also keep active and explore new places. The weather was constantly 30 degrees or above, which made for a lot of sunbathing, ...

Arrived on Queen Elizabeth on 3rd April, to a very warm welcome. Cabin excelled our expectations, very clean and comfortable. Cabin Steward could not do enough for you. Meals were exceptional, both waiting and drinks staff very helpful, and always smiling. The ship itself was sheer luxury and in the ten days on board every day was relaxed and never rushed. Made plenty of friends, the only ...
