It is well known that Celebrity Constellation is one of the older vessels in the Celebrity fleet, but considering she is about to go in for a significant upgrade in May 2020 in France, she is in pretty good nick.
Sure, you always notice minor things like a bit of rust or flaking paintwork on the outer hull structure, which had no detrimental effect on my enjoyment of the cruise, but otherwise ...
My wife and I chose this cruise because we had never visited any of the ports of call and the deal we were offered was good for us. We chose to stay a couple of nights in Singapore before we sailed - our travel agent chose the Furama Riverfront Hotel for us. Perhaps we should have researched this a little more for whilst the hotel was a fine place to stay it was too far from any of the attractions ...
We have been on several cruises previously , although we have never travelled with Celebrity. Upon arrival our cabin was dirty with used dressing gowns under the bed and a contact lense, which neither of us wear on the floor. the bathroom was grubby . we had requested twin beds but the bed was double. i went outside and spoke to a staff member who said' you can easily separate the beds.' If we had ...
We chose this cruise as we had previously sailed with Celebrity in 2018 and were very impressed with the ship, facilities and the food. We also wanted the opportunity to sample The countries in the agenda.
Firstly the ship and amenities were good. The only issue with the facilities was the open air cinema was on the only deck in the ship that did not have a lift so having a mobility issue was ...
Not long home from another great Celebrity cruise. This was our 1st Christmas/New Year cruise and we were not disappointed. Although the ship is looking tired (it’s about to get its refit ) it didn’t spoil our holiday at all. The ship was beautifully decked out with Christmas trees and lights everywhere and the crew were amazing.
The ports were very good although we stayed onboard in Mumbai ...
We chose the itinerary not the ship. I was slightly concerned about the age & size of the ship and the fact that she was getting a refurb AFTER our cruise.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Connie. She had a graceful old charm & dignity to her. Yes I did find some examples of worn cushions, torn carpet and evidence of age. This did not spoil anything or detract from the cruise. The smaller ...
We chose this cruise as we wanted to travel to India, but were unsure about what that destination would be like, so we saw cruising as a safe and easier option (with the benefit of returning to our version of normality at the end of each day). It was a good choice. We could experience the manic chaos of India and enjoy the sensory overload that it is, and then retreat each afternoon/evening to ...
Chose cruise because of itinerary but also because of good experience of good previous Celebrity experience.
Great cruise. Singapore to Dubai via India. Our 3rd celebrity cruise but first on a Millennium class ship
Embarkation in Singapore very slow but disembarkation very efficient.
We had 2 nights in Singapore pre cruise and 2 nights Abu Dhabi post cruise in our cruise package from ...
After a gruelling but uneventful 13 hour flight to Singapore with BA we walked from Arrivals (not far at all) to the Crowne Plaza, which was obviously WAY out of Singapore centre, Why oh why Celebrity? It was a lovely hotel but we were a 'captive audience' with no choice of eateries etc. and no chance to see the beauty of the city at night. Bad choice Celebrity! The following morning we were ...
We chose this cruise because of where Connie was taking us, we hadn't been to Colombo, Cochin, Goa, Mumbai, Muscat or Abu Dhabi. (We had been to Phuket and Dubai several times before).
After reading many reviews about Connie before, we really didn't know what to expect as there were so many conflicting reviews both good, bad and ugly.
So I've decided to write a review on our experience on ...
