When is a balcony not a balcony?

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Celebrity Edge

Just hated the Infinity balcony cabin. - See cabin review However, the bathroom was delightful and a really big shower. The cabin decor is pleasant and restful. The food in the Ocean cafe was of a high standard and tasty. Thought the dining room food was a little safe and bland. However their steaks (readily available) are absolutely excellent. Strange how few waiters were ...

A Phenomenal Cruise on the Celebrity Edge!

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Celebrity Edge

This cruise was absolutely amazing and a great way to return from Singapore. The ship itself is beautiful and there are amazing places everywhere we went. My personal favourite venues onboard were the Rooftop Garden, Eden and the Grand Plaza. I cannot fault the ship in any way at all. I also have to say that I don't know if it was because the weather was great or not, but not once did we feel any ...

On the whole we would rate the ship 9.5 /10 So firstly the positives It was a bit chaotic getting onto the ship we believe this was because of the Singapore immigration procedures and other ports of call immigration requirements We had a cabin with an infinite veranda (mixed opinions )when we opened the window in the places were the humidity was high these caused the mirrors to steam ...

Missed the mark for a 5 star cuise ship

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

We have cruised on the Solstice in 2014 and were looking forward to the same experience, unfortunately the Solstice did not live up to our expectation. The embarkation in Singapore was abysmal. We got on board just in time for muster but no luggage available. Our room was clean but looking tired. Our balcony table was broken and took 2 days to replace. Our cabin steward was excellent. We loved ...

SECOND TIME NOT AS GOOD

Review for a Trans-Ocean Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

We had already had a nice long cruise earlier in the year but this one was too cheap to pass over. We had also cruised on Solstice in late 2015 after usually cruising Princess and found it refreshing to sail on a modern spacious ship with a younger passenger list. Ship's staff were very friendly, efficient and mostly went out of their way to help but in the Oceanview Buffet, we thought some were ...

I chose this cruise because I just wanted a holiday. The idea of one flight, an easy 8 or so hours to Singapore and then cruising home to Sydney via ports I had already seen really appealed. We also got an incredible deal and the new improved interent is wonderful. It would be worth paying for if not included. No more waiting and watching the minutes tick by and the costs mount up when ...

We did back-to-back cruises: Singapore to Sydney (with stops in Bali and all around Australia) and then Sydney to New Zealand, ending in Sydney again. Solstice had just come out of dry dock rennovations. These were our 5th and 6th cruises. Will talk about the first leg here: Singapore to Sydney. SOLSTICE: She is a beautiful ship! The crew keeps her spotless! Beautiful art work and public ...

Solstice Singapore to Sydney. 31/10/16

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

Chose Solstice because of positive reviews and their General reputation of being a superior cruise line. We stayed at the Hotel Boss in Singapore. This is a new budget hotel with very small rooms but for an overnight stay it was good The embarkation on 31st October can only be described as a disaster. From the time we arrived at the terminal until we stepped aboard the ship was 3 hours. Never ...

Well, this 27 night back to back cruise was part of adventure which started in Singapore and ended 39 days later in Dubai. 5 ports tendered, 6 ports docked and what an amazing trip we had with somegreat memories Embarkation in Singapore was a little delayed due to the ship not arriving at the terminal as scheduled following its partial refit. Celebrity’s best laid plans of allocating ...
