We chose this cruise based on (a) destinations - we'd not been to some of the ports of call), (b) timing, and, (c) we'd been on several Silversea ships (including the Whisper in the past.
Key points;
1. Virtually all the staff were attentive and helpful -especially our butler.
2. The food in La Terrassa was good - especially the evening meals - we ate there twice.
3. On the other hand ...
We truly expected a lot more from a Luxury cruise line. The cruise itself was nicely decorated..all beige, but the glamour that you see on other cruise lines for half the price was not there to be found. Forget about a grand lobby!.
The entertainment was poor. The show - three ladies and three gentleman- had great voices, but my goodness, they were soo fake, we only went to the first show ...
We chose the cruise because of its itinerary and as we get older, the idea of packing and unpacking has become far less appealing. The size of the cruise ship and the number of passengers was very high on our list of priorities. Having been to Venice previously, we kept our exploration to a minimum in the general vicinity of our hotel, the Monaco and Grand Canal. The transfer from the airport to ...
The Butler service is amazing!
The Food is fabulous! And such variety!! They had food from the areas that we were visiting at the restaurants. My 22 year old daughter was with me, and if she did not want the food from one particular restaurant, they were only too willing to get what she wanted from another restaurant on board!
All the drinks you can possibly want at any time of the day very ...
Past experiences were very good on The Wind, Spirit, and Silver Galapagos.
The dining service on the Muse was deplorable. The food was inedible (we even lost weight on this cruise). Having to make reservations was a chore and the Japanese specialty restaurant was so poor, we felt scammed at $60 per person.
The men having to wear a jacket while dining alfresco in Italy during the summer ...
Our Mediterranean cruise from Venice to Nice on Silver Whisper. All I can say is everything was average, food ok ,entertainment ok.Service not good, with no attention to detail.
Having travelled before with Silverseas a few years ago,we loved it so much ,we encouraged a group of friends to join us on this cruise. There were 10 of us in fact.
My husband and I were so disappointed and ...
We usually travel on Crystal Cruise Lines our friend told us that Silverseas was as good or better boy was she wrong. Lets start with the positives. The rooms were very spacious, the beds were comfortable, the closets very big and the bathroom was oversized but it stops there. The staff were mostly rude! I can not count how many times they told us to go to our room and order room service. ...
We selected this cruise because of the Silver Sea reputation for luxury. This cruise had the correct dates for our group’s calendar and it was visiting ports of Croatia. Nearest competitor was Regent. All inclusive was very nice and the food and alcohol selections were good. Up charge dining at Le Dame was worth the price but the wine selections were the same as those for the other dining areas ...
We were on the Silver Muse last year, Monte Carlo to Lisbon & enjoyed the Cruise, so thought we’d book again and we liked the itinerary to the Greek Isles. We did visit interesting ports, we especially liked Spetses & Hydra, 2 of the smaller ports. A lot of the larger ports were very crowded, as there were other Cruise ships docked. Santorini was extremely crowded & it was pretty inefficient ...
We selected Silversea based on a previous cruise, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed in this cruise. Silversea had sold nearly one-third of the ship to an insurance company as an incentive award for successful insurance agents and brokers. As we were leaving Venice, we went to the Panorama lounge on the stern for a view of the city only to find that the ...
