This was the chocolate cake & pineapple opera dessert. It was divine. All the courses were detailed, but this was over-the-top & delicious.

Very Disappointing Cruise

We chose the cruise starting in Quebec City and ending in New York City, stopping in ports along the St Lawrence Seaway. We were eager to see what Silver Sea had to offer, since they bill themselves as an all-suites luxury line. Among the better aspects of the cruise were the ports and excursions. We also enjoyed meeting some very congenial people. Now for the truly disappointing aspects. ...

A disappointingly mediocre experience for a premium price by what was once a premier cruise line.

We are normally Regent travelers, but because of family circumstances we asked our travel concierge to get us on a 10-12 day Fall Foliage cruise on a premium cruise line in a specific date window. We had a choice of Seabourn or Silversea. We selected Silver Sea because of dates, smaller ship size, and their prior reputation. What a mistake. We'll NEVER sail on Silver Sea again. We so wanted a ...

We chose this cruise because we really liked the itinerary and have always wanted to try Silversea. We were very disappointed. Beginning with no one from Silversea to greet us at the hotel where we had to wait for several hours in the lobby after our plane arrived until we were bused to the pier. After a few hours we took a shuttle to just get out for a bit and have lunch. We understand some ...

Dirty room, child-size beds, bad food

We chose this cruise because Bridge at Sea was holding a bridge event, the bridge was fine- the ship was a huge disappointment. The interior spaces are old and tired, wear and stains on every surface. The room was tiny, we knew that, but we didn't know that the beds weren't full sized, the brochure said "queen-sized", instead they were shorter and narrower than standard beds. Nice quality linens, ...

Very tired ship

The ships size is very nice and getting on and off the ship went very smoothly. Embarkation from NYC was lovely seeing the city light up as we cruised out of the harbor past the Statue of Liberty. We’ve been on 8 cruises and we were disappointed there was no food/buffet on the pool level as we cruised out of the harbor as there was on all past cruises. We found the ship to be very, very tired. ...

Dinner on poolside deck—different and wonderful

Itinerary. Also with a group of 20 friends from around the world. Our fall trip to visit and see each other. Cabin was nice and well maintained by steward. Butler was pleasant. Food was ordinary and repetitive. Service was something to be desired. Specialty restaurant wasn’t worth the additional cost. Food orders were mixed up, food was served lukewarm, desserts were totally lost on the servers ...

Decisions made by Captain altering our route ruined this cruise.

It was our 30th anniversary. We chose this cruise for the stated itinerary - specifically, going around Newfoundland, with 4 port stops there. We did not get this, however. We departed a day and a half late due to Hurricane/Tropical Storm Jose sitting offshore of New York. But, even then the storm was still offshore and the Captain sailed directly into it (making for an interesting day at sea). No ...
