We sailed on the Silver Muse in late April/early May on the transatlantic cruise to Ireland and had a fabulous cruise!
We embarked in New York (most people got on in Fort Lauderdale) so embarkation was shockingly easy. Since nobody was getting off in New York, we figured our cabins would be ready and they were. We were on and having lunch by noon!
Our suite was 719, which is a superior ...
Choose cruise because the iteniary was interesting with stops in NYC, Newfoundland and Ireland.
Ship is very lovely but the food services are TERRIBLE. The food preparation, service (never hot in serving temperature), quality and selection of food venues is the worst of any of my over 1000 sailing days on various lines. Basically only 2 inside restaurant choices for lunch daily. Both serving ...
The ship is gorgeous, the staff is supreme, the food is wonderful.
Our only criticism is regarding activities and entertainment.
The highlight of every afternoon was Bingo and team Trivia. Not our idea of exciting and unique entertainment.
There was also only a limited amount of board games on the ship.
Throughout the 16 day cruise, food service was very slow, but the food quality was ...
Ship with a wow factor is the first impression.
Suites are well furnished and comfortable with an excellent bathroom. Nicely furnished verandah.
Bars range from the intimate Atlantide and Arts Cafe to the larger Panorama and extremely large Dolce Vita, plus the Pool Bar. Good selection of premium liquor not supported by the mixes available. Good entertainment in the Panorama and Dolce ...
we love traveling Silver Seas, but we will not be on the Muse again. same great personal as on the other ships, but could not overcome the size and ship planning. I made my reservation as usual and reserved special dining the nights we wanted it, then I heard though the grapevine when we boarded reservations were needed every night as there was not a general dinning room. the same rumor mill says ...
We loved the ship and it’s elegant and subdued decor. The palette in naturals is beautiful.our suite was incredible 943.The space inside very practical and spacious. The veranda is beautiful and the furniture is very nice.I like the plant inside it makes it very cozy. The bathroom was gorgeous.
The service is great, our Butler Anu catered to every detail and always with a smile on his face. Also our ...
DH and I have sailed on the Cloud, Wind, Shadow and Whisper and were anxious to experience the Muse. Being an avid Cruise Critic reader , I was aware of the bizarre dining reservation policy and also the new dress code policy particular to the Muse. I was able to successfully make the dinner reservations 120 days out of our departure and all were honored. Many passengers were not that lucky. ...
We chose this cruise after doing a repositioning cruise on the Silver Spirit in the spring of 2016. On that cruise, we learned about the features of the new ship, and thought it would be a good fit for our family/friend group of 10. Not unexpectedly, there are things we liked better about the smaller ship, and things we liked better about this new ship. We liked the bigger choice of restaurants on ...
We wanted to go on an east coast cruise that stopped in Savannah.
The staff was attentive.
The ship needs a main dining room with a menu that varies. The restaurants never changed their menu.
The ship is handicap friendly.
The cruise director was great. But you cannot get the PA messages inside your cabin which was a disappointment as we had to run to open the door to hear what was ...
We are home after an interesting two weeks on the Muse from Montreal to Ft. Lauderdale. Several important ports were cancelled due to the ports needing space for cargo ships. I hope that those ships were taking cargo to the islands so badly damaged by the hurricanes and not the fact that the Silversea ships are smaller and probably pay a lower fee. Charleston was changed to Wilmington, NC ...
