We went on this cruise with a total of 8 people for spring break. Ft Lauderdale to Barbados.
We have cruised on mostly upscale cruise lines (Crystal, ect) and stay in mostly four and five star hotels so we know what this level of service is. In general, the ship was clean and well laid out but the service was absolutely horrible for this level of ship with almost a 1:1 staff/guest ratio. ...
We have been on many Silversea cruises as well as cruises on most major cruise lines including Seaborn, Sea Dreams Yacht Club, Celebrity, NCL, and most other major cruise lines. About 40 cruises in all. We chose the Silver Muse for this cruise because it is a new ship and have enjoyed the Silversea cruise experience in the past.
First the good news. The Silver Muse is a beautiful ship. It is ...
Desire to check out the latest Silversea ship the Silver Muse. In general we enjoyed everything. We still however prefer their smaller ships. However with close to 600 guests, we did not feel crowded. Coordination of services in 2 of the restaurants needs improvement (La Terrazza and Indochine). House keeping staff were efficient but didn't seem to have the same personnel connections as ...
Newness of ship, culinary experience. Our butler Pedro and cabin attendant Solty were excellent as was Tatejanna in the Spa. The entertainment bordered on amateur and the guide in Belize(tubing excursion) was horrible. the guide through the caves was excellent. Jesus in Cozumel excellent. We enjoyed every bit of our time on board and the cuisine superb. La Dame could kick it up a notch all others ...
From the moment we stepped on board it was 5 star luxury all the way....we were on deck 6 in the middle. The stateroom was spacious and very cleverly designed...space for 4 suitcases , a walk in wardrobe..big bath room veranda and fabulous bed sitting room...
The ship was the right size (450 to 500 passengers)...the service impeccable, dinning and restaurants all 5 star .. excursions very well ...
Cruise from Fort Lauderdale through Panama Canal and down to Santiago, Chile. Great travelling through Panama Canal for first time. Friendly efficient crew. Service always fast and courteous. Good food with wide range of restaurants, some require booking, others open seating. Menus changed after about a week. Some dishes indicative of areas we visited. We went to La Dame (signature restaurant) ...
This was our first cruise for many years and we went with good friends. It was generally enjoyable but certainly not outstanding.
The cabins were comfortable and the staff well trained and invariably pleasant and helpful.
There are many restaurants on the Silver Muse. Food is fresh and plentiful but not particularly exciting and at La Dame, where passengers have to pay extra to dine, I could ...
We chose this cruise when it was shortened from 18 to 12 days, ending in Lima rather than Valparaiso, which became an optional 5 day extension. We knew that there would be 5 days at sea, and assumed that those days would essentially be like staying at a 5 star hotel, and they were in some ways. There were 4 ports of call, but we will return to this. The cabin was beautifully appointed as was ...
Wonderful ship, impeccable service, great food.
Silversea has outdone itself with the Silver Muse. Every luxury anticipated and offered.
Most important, the crew was first rate and catered to every interest and whim. Silversea never says “no” to any reasonable request.
The ambiance onboard was just about perfect and the cuisine especially great with so many new and varied dining ...
For those who are familiar with Silversea and are wondering about the new ship, I will review a few details, mostly good, some not so much, in the latter part (skip the first paragraph), but I would like to start by making one thing clear for the uninitiated: by far the main reason one chooses this line and pays a significant multiple of the regular cruise line prices is the clientele. It can cut ...
