We have sailed on several lines including Regent and several Celebrity retreat suites. We had heard about the grand service, excellent food and lovely suites. We weren’t disappointed. However, I do believe after talking with many veteran SS cruisers that some things are not as they used to be. We found the food very good overall. The unlimited Pommery and caviar were a real treat although after 25 ...
I was very happy to be back on Silversea after several years of no cruising. Silver Dawn is a lovely ship and as usual the crew is spectacular. I think my butler was disappointed that I didn’t need much done. I did have a caviar one afternoon and he really wanted me to take a bath though I didn’t. Cabin is spacious as usual though the walk-in closets a little smaller than on the Muse. I love the ...
We have sailed with Silversea before and really loved it. This cruise was no different. Great Accommodations, Great Excursions, Awesome Crew and we love the fact that it's all inclusive. The captain and crew kept us up to date on all activities, embarking and disembarking procedures as well as up to date news regarding the cruise. The food was very good and the selections were great! The facilities ...
This was our 4th cruise on Silversea and we were very excited it was on the new Silver Muse. She is a beautiful well laid out ship. You can tell everything was well thought through. I loved her decor. I have read many reviews on this topic and I found it to be chic, simple and classy. The Muse's decor may be a touch more contemporary than the traditional decor found on other Silversea ships ...
I'm a 46 year old with a working wife and we do pretty well for ourselves. We live in an upscale suburb in the US and are members of a country club. I'm telling you this so, you have a frame of reference for the person writing this review. i.e. I know good stuff when I see it. I don't consider the Cheesecake Factory a five star dinning experience. Not that there's anything wrong with the ...
We chose this cruise because of our long history with Silversea. Our last cruise on The Wind showed us a very aging ship and amenities that worried us about Silversea's commitment to excellence. The Muse was a wonderful experience although the lack of intimacy of the smaller ships could be felt. Looking to our future cruise selections, we may need to look at competitive lines to maintain the ...
We heard that Silversea was a top notch ship and it definitely met our expectations. We have taken other cruise lines in the past and felt that we were 'nickel and dimed' and this was not the case with Silversea. We chose an itinerary that went from Rome to Barcelona and was port intensive because we like to cover the most territory we can while on a cruise. The stateroom is well laid out with ...
Room as not huge but very serviceable. The balcony held two and made ample use of it for sleeping and reading. The fridge was stocked with water, beers and sodas. If I had wanted wine, they would have supplied. The closet was ample for two people, with drawers and hangers. The bathroom contained both a tub and shower and we could choose among several options which soaps and shampoos they would ...
I did a lot of research about various cruise lines and looked at several different itineraries before choosing Silversea and the Silver Muse. I hit a home run! The ship was beautiful and clean, the cabin was spacious, the crew were top rate and professional. There were about 600 people on board, but it never felt cramped. With several different dining rooms and multiple sitting areas, there was ...
We chose this particular cruise due to the fabulous starting and stopping points: Rome and Venice. Staying 2 extra nights in Rome before and 1 extra night in Venice after the cruise really enhanced our experience, and the hotels where we stayed associated with Silversea provided great access to the sights of those cities. We want to particularly commend the Silversea staff in Rome, who were so ...
