ship - good condition but poorly laid out.
food - excellent at times and lacking at others.
service - staff all have smiles and want to please but seem to lack direction and management.
daily schedule - sadly lacking; not enough activities during the day. all port lectures mysteriously scheduled for 6:30 at night interfering with cocktails and dinner. Obvious limited budget for speakers. ...
The door to door service and cruise itself was fine. The chosen ports were nice destinations. Also, the staff onboard is friendly and engaging. The food in the restaurants is ok, drinks at the bar are good, wine selection OK. entertainment is also fine. We didn’t see our butler very often.
Last minute changes on excursions was not very well organised and deviating information was given to ...
We chose this cruise to experience a suite on a supposedly 6 star ship. We boarded in Lisbon after queueing on the pavement outside in hot weather and then being transferred from one desk to another. Each desk only dealing with one aspect of the embarkation process. So unprofessional. Extremely poor service throughout the ship. Meals mostly either over cooked or undercooked, cooked in too much ...
This was our 3rd Silversea cruise but our first post Covid. Things have changed and our great expectations based on previous voyages were sorely dashed by Silversea. Their delivery of customer service and quality, the main things that used to attract one to their cruise brand, has deteriorated massively since out last cruise with them pre Covid. Organizational capability and on board managerial ...
This cruise was a big "miss". The food was poor quality and no variation from day to day and from restaurant to restaurant. For instance, we did not find the buffet in La Terrazza very interesting for lunch so instead we went to the Atlantide only to realize that the menu was the exact same as the buffet. We commented on this to the waiter, but it was never addressed by the head waiter. We saw ...
Very disappointed. This ship was billed as a top of the line luxury cruise, but for me that was far from the truth. First, one of the main reasons I booked this cruise was to see St Tropez. After I booked and paid for the cruise I was informed That the ship was going to a different port farther from St Tropez which added hours more to the driving time to get there and back and turned it into a 14+ ...
Last summer, we sailed the SILVER MOON in Greece and had such an exemplary experience, we opted to sail its new sister, the DAWN last month to Italy/Croatia/Malta. Here are the Pro's and Con's:
PROS
Stunning accommodations, the Silver Suite was as perfect, comfy and amazing as last year on the Silver Moon. Best sleep ever, super high end mattress and bedding. Spacious bathroom w/ huge tub ...
This review of how bad Silversea and Silver Spirit are could go on for 100’s of pages, so here are bullet points as to why you should avoid this Royal Caribbean in disguise cruise line and like me mourn the days of great food, service, and a feeling of being wanted, valued and safe.
1. Boarding was a nightmare; they lost my booking and it turned out the had cancelled it as the ‘FCC’ dept had ...
Let me frame my review… I am 55 and my wife and are regulars to Celebrity, Princess and looked forward to what is (almost) the maiden voyage of Silver Dawn. This is our second Silversea cruise and expectations were quite high.
I have never reviewed a ship in my 25 years of cruising but when presented with numerous obstacles to provide feedback via the traditional on board cruise questionnaire I ...
First time SilverSeas after several Regent cruises. We were looking forward to trying Silver Seas and their new ship Silver Dawn seemed the ideal opportunity. It turned out to be the first cruise as earlier trips were put off.
First impressions were not good with a 100 metre queue for embarcation - fortunately not raining in Lisbon but a cold breeze. There were only 2 check in desks operational ...
