Fabulous Cruise - But Need To Change Menus More Frequently

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Silver Nova

We traveled Lisbon to Lisbon for 21 days starting mid-October. We chose this cruise because it included many ports we had not visited previously. Unfortunately, they had to cancel two ports - Tangier and Casablanca - presumably due to the situation in the Mideast. But they substituted an extra night in Malaga and Lisbon, so that was fine. Since we have previously cruised with Seabourn, we were ...

We chose Silversea on this occasion for the itinerary, although we have cruised with them before and know that their standard is our standard. The cruise was superb from start to finish. Although the ship is a little bit tired decor-wise, it did not detract from our enjoyment at all. The food was of a uniformly high standard. We mostly ate in the main restaurant as the choice is excellent ...

The Adriatic, and specifically Croatia and Greece, were our primary focus. Sailing out of Venice (Fusina) and ending in Athens was a perfect itinerary, with daily ports of call in between throughout the region. The door-to-door service provided by Silversea was perfect, and we were met at every stage of the trip by a representative who took care of our every need personally. The attention to ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Silver Dawn

This was our second time sailing with Silversea. The first was last year on the Silver Moon which is Silver Dawn's twin sister. The food on Silversea's is very upscale regardless of whether you do the standard dining options or pay for the premium restaurants. Our favorite was a premium restaurant called Kaiseki. It is a Japanese styled restaurant that serves sashimi's, different seafood ...

Love cruising and our normal cruise line have gradually been reducing their service and treatment of guests…. We decided to see if paying a premium would be worth it. Wow….from the moment we boarded Silver Spirit we felt wonderful….as the ship is fully inclusive we thought it might be awkward to ask for refills of champagne, cocktails wine etc..the complete opposite happened as soon as our ...

We have sailed on several lines including Regent and several Celebrity retreat suites. We had heard about the grand service, excellent food and lovely suites. We weren’t disappointed. However, I do believe after talking with many veteran SS cruisers that some things are not as they used to be. We found the food very good overall. The unlimited Pommery and caviar were a real treat although after 25 ...

This was our third Silversea Cruise this year, and to say it was outstanding is an understatement, very much a repeat cruise for us, having done it before, but the wife loves Venice and Rome, we had to days pre cruise at SS Hotel in Venice (The Bauer) again fabulous, and two days in SS Hotel in Rome (Westin) which was good, not great but good (Rooms very dated) Our May cruise (Athens to Israel) we ...

My overall comment on this cruise through the Adriatic is that it completely sold me on Silversea, and I already have two more cruises booked for next year. I will go into more detail below, but I think in general, one piece of advice I would give to anyone considering a cruise to any destination or on any line right now is this- do not expect things to be as they might have been before the ...

Wonderful cruise as usual

I was very happy to be back on Silversea after several years of no cruising. Silver Dawn is a lovely ship and as usual the crew is spectacular. I think my butler was disappointed that I didn’t need much done. I did have a caviar one afternoon and he really wanted me to take a bath though I didn’t. Cabin is spacious as usual though the walk-in closets a little smaller than on the Muse. I love the ...

Just perfection

I have cruised from Lisbon, on the new Silversea baby, and without any doubt it´s the nicest, most beautiful decorated of the whole company. They have been able to combine the best details of the former ships to create something sublime. There was a long delay on embarkation but it wasn´t Silversea company, but Port of Lisbon inefficient staff, and partly because most passengers came without covid ...
