My wife and I chose this cruise as a sampler of Silversea for future longer cruises. We wanted to try a top quality cruise line, and had sailed the same route - down the east coast of NZ - with Celebrity Solstice in 2020 just before COVID, but wanted to try a smaller ship and larger cabin/suite.
We chose door-to-door and got business class airfares from Sydney to Auckland to start the cruise, ...
We were looking for a trip to Australia and New Zealand over the 2022 Christmas Holidays.
Once on board the silver suite was very nice, the ship was in great condition and the multiples restaurants and lounges were very good. Butler and restaurant staff were excellent. Wi-Fi was available but slow.
However, we will never sail Silversea again. Embarkation from Sydney was chaos - 2 plus ...
This is our review of our recent trip from Sydney to Auckland on the Silver Muse. We were fortunate to have booked an Owner’s Suite in the ship and we were expecting to be blown away by the whole experience but, unfortunately, it did not really end up that way.
Embarkation and disembarkation

We were on two legs of the cruise that started at the date listed in Auckland and completed in Singapore on 01/21/2018.

We chose this cruise based on past experiences with Silversea but also because the timing happened to fit perfectly with our desire to take time out.
This cruise was our fourth with Silversea after 2 in the Mediterranean in 2012, and one in 2016 also on Silver Shadow in Asia, This voyage provided several disappointments and we felt a lowering of standards.
We boarded the ship in Singapore, ...
We came on the ship as basically first time Cruisers for the World Cruise 2017. Jan 6 to May 3, San Francisco to Monte Carlo. We had no complaints about the cabin or the ship, it is a little dated. Many of the repeat cruisers were very unhappy with the condition of the ship as most were led to believe the ship had gone under renovation before the cruise. It turned out only some internal ...
This will be as hard for me to write as it will for Silversea fans to read and I will try to be as objective and fair as possible in my comments. But when you've had an unhappy experience the devil is in the detail so while some of you may think I'm being too harsh or unreasonable and many more will disagree with me I'm going to give my honest opinion from the perspective of a Silversea first ...
