We have sailed with you for 21 consecutive years. We have always chosen Silversea because of the quality of both staff, the ships themselves and the crew. However, this is the first year that my husband and I have noticed there was a lack of staff people, not only in the cabins, although our butler was very nice (ALBERT), but in the dining areas as well. I can understand cost cutting to make a ...
The itinerary was the number one reason we chose this ship, followed by the size of the ship and what it had to offer.
The accommodations were outstanding and our butler went above and beyond in service and attentiveness. Our room maid was also outstanding and always had a smile on her face.
Ports of call were very good except for Caines where I wish we had spent two days as there was so ...
We have sailed Silversea a number of times and love the on board experiences, the suites, the food, drinks, and, especially the service. We booked this one as back to back so we were on for an extended time. Our prior experiences with Silversea was on the Wind and the Cloud which we absolutely loved. The size was near perfect for our tastes and our next cruise will again be on either of those. The ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary. We explored our departure and ariival cities on our own. We used some of the ship's excursions and also those provided by Abercrombie & Kent.
The ship definitely needs to be refurbished - it's old and tired looking. The gym, spa and beauty parlor also needs to be modernized.
Our cabin was nice and spacious - just a bit dark and very small ...
Embarkation and disembarkation went easily. Ship was smaller than what we sailed in the past but better since we got to know just about everyone working on the ship. Expected the cabin to be more elegant although the bathroom was big and the bed comfortable it was still a little tight and a bit dated. TV was terrible and barely visible from the bed. Food was great and service was mostly good ...
wanted to try the smaller ship to compare to the mega ships I had been on. The suite was very large 500 sq ft; beautiful; butler was excellent. Food very good. Room service was quite fast. However, I like dinner around 6pm or so and the show around 8 Their show times were 10 pm with dinner at 8p. This was way too late for me and several others I talked to. Lecturers were very good on ...
After a pretty dismal ride on the Silver Cloud on one of its last cruises prior to refit, it was a pleasure to be on board the Shadow where most things 'worked'. The staterooms are still a little dated, think Italian hotel about 1992, but bathrooms have been smartly updated, and the ship was definitely comfortable with only 302 guests on board - it was a cruise with a low single supplement so not ...
We chose the cruise because it's special itinery (Alaska to Singapore, three cruises and 44 days in total). We enjoyed the small ship and especially the devoted staff.
The food at lunch and dinner was good, but not as extraordinary as advertised. We missed especially that there was hardly an offer of typical meals of the countries we travelled as we know it from other cruises.
Breakfast ...
We are seasoned cruisers and after an extraordinary Silverseas Cruise to the Galapagos in March we wanted to try their more mainstream cruise style.
CHECK-IN
The check in was seamless, there were more than enough staff to process everyone without delay. A great opening memory.
BUTLER
Since we had bulters on other cruises (Oceania) we were prepared on how to use their services and ...
My husband and I just finished a fabulous cruise on the Silver Shadow. Our son lives in Japan so it was a great way to go there. The crossing was good except for one rough night.
The service on the ship was perfect! The butlers were there when needed and did everything they could to make sure your every need was handled. The food was good as was the wine selections. I enjoy wine and found that ...
