The Silver Whisper is advertised as an upscale ship. I guess it depends on what you are looking for on your cruise. Our voyage in the Caribbean was a great disappointment in many respects. The SILVER WHISPER is a very comfortable small cruise ship only carrying about 350 passengers. We never had to wait in line for anything. The stateroom was spacious and well designed. Silversea holds themselves out as an ULTRA LUXURY cruise line but is far from that. The staff is non responsive and the ship is out dated.

We love Silver Sea and usually are not disappointed. The timing for us on this cruise was after major hurricanes hit the islands, so there were fewer excursions and less activities available. St. Bart's was particularly disappointing since very few shops were open on Sunday and many were still damaged and not able to be open anyway.
